Spend with purpose. Choose local. If you’re going to spend the money anyway, it may as well strengthen the place you live. In Wollondilly, small business isn’t abstract. It’s the woman who sponsors the local team. The one who employs a neighbour. The one who reinvests her profit back into the community. Every time you book locally, refer locally, or shop locally, that money circulates here. It supports jobs. It builds resilience. It gives more women the confidence to grow, expand, and employ. Before you look outside the area for your next service, gift, or collaboration, check our WWIB Members Directory. Chances are, the person you need is already here. .au 📷 @tenillesalmonsoulimages #wollondillywomeninbusiness #supportlocal #smallbusinesseconomy

Join us for our May WWIB Networking Night at the Picton Bowling Club, an evening designed to spark meaningful connection, practical insight, and confident leadership in business. We’re pleased to welcome Dave Starr, founder of Curated Advice, as our guest speaker. At Curated Advice, the belief is simple: the best business guidance comes from someone who has actually been in the trenches. Dave’s journey didn’t begin in a lecture hall... it began in his lounge room, where he launched his first major venture. Over 17 years, he built that business into a multi-million-dollar enterprise, completing more than 16,000 jobs along the way. He has lived through the momentum of rapid growth and the pressure that keeps leaders awake at night. He understands what it takes to build something from the ground up because he has done exactly that. After successfully selling his business, Dave committed to formalising his hard-earned knowledge, earning diplomas in Business, Project Management, Work Health & Safety, Human Resource Management, and Leadership. He also became a qualified trainer and assessor, blending lived experience with academic depth. In this session, Dave will share practical, actionable strategies drawn from 35 years of building, scaling, and leading successful companies. No fluff. No theory for theory’s sake. Just grounded insight that can be applied immediately in your own business. Expect an evening of strong conversation, real-world wisdom, and networking that goes beyond surface level. This is a night for business owners, leaders, and professionals who value practical growth, resilience, and sustainable success. We look forward to welcoming you. Tickets essential as spaces are limited! .au #wollondillywomeninbusiness #networking #businessgrowth

As March draws to a close, so does a month of celebrating women in business, leadership and community. International Women’s Day may sit on one date in the calendar, but the conversations, the courage and the connection carry far beyond it. This month we’ve honoured achievements, shared stories, backed local businesses, filled rooms with energy and reminded ourselves what happens when women gather with intention. We’ve celebrated progress. We’ve acknowledged the work still to do. And we’ve seen, again, what collective momentum feels like. To every woman who showed up, as a sponsor, speaker, volunteer, attendee, leader, supporter, thank you. To every business that invested in this vision, thank you. To every conversation that sparked a new idea or a new collaboration, that’s exactly why we do this. March may be wrapping up, but the real work of supporting, mentoring, collaborating and leading continues. Because women in business aren’t a once-a-year headline. They are building, shaping and strengthening our community every single day. .au 📷 @tenillesalmonsoulimages #internationalwomensday #wollondillywomeninbusiness #womensupportinggrowth

“I am not free while any woman is unfree, even when her shackles are very different from my own.” Freedom isn’t individual. It’s collective. It’s not just about the opportunities in front of us personally, it’s about the systems, barriers and realities still facing women in different industries, different cultures, different stages of life. Some women are navigating pay gaps. Some are rebuilding after violence. Some are carrying invisible loads at home while building visible success in business. Some are still fighting simply to be heard. International Women’s Day isn’t only a celebration. It’s a reminder. Our progress is interconnected. When one woman gains access, confidence, safety or opportunity, it matters. When one is held back, it matters too. At WWIB, community isn’t just networking. It’s solidarity. It’s using our voice, our platforms and our influence to widen the path, not just for ourselves, but for others walking behind us. .au 📷 @tenillesalmonsoulimages #internationalwomensday #wollondillywomeninbusiness #womensupportingwomen

A big thank you to our Event Partners who helped amplify and shape this year’s International Women’s Day celebration. Thank you to C91.3FM for helping us spread the word across the region. Community radio plays such an important role in connecting people, sharing stories, and shining a light on local initiatives. Your support helped us reach further and louder. And thank you to Indaba Collective for the strategy, creativity and behind-the-scenes engine room work that brought this event to life. From branding to messaging to digital presence, your contribution shaped the experience long before guests walked through the doors. Strong events are never built alone. They’re built through partnership, collaboration and shared belief in the vision. We’re proud to work alongside organisations who genuinely back women in business and our wider community. .au #internationalwomensday #wwib #wollondillywomeninbusiness

Thinking for yourself means questioning what you’ve been told success should look like. It means building a business that fits your life, not squeezing your life around someone else’s blueprint. It means trusting your instincts even when they don’t follow the crowd. For women, especially, independent thinking has often been labelled as difficult, disruptive, too much. And yet it’s exactly that clarity that shifts industries, communities and culture. This month, as we celebrate women and leadership, let’s honour the courage it takes to hold your own perspective. To voice the idea. To challenge the norm. To back your values publicly. Progress doesn’t come from echoing what already exists. It comes from women willing to think, and speak, for themselves. .au 📷 @tenillesalmonsoulimages #internationalwomensday #wwib #wollondilly

International Women’s Day was powerful. The room was full, the energy was generous, and the sense of community was undeniable. International Women’s Day always reminds us what’s possible when women gather with purpose, and we simply couldn’t do it without the businesses who stand beside us. A heartfelt thank you to our 2026 Wattle Sponsors: Alive Realty Juggernaut Advisory The Kids Cottage Toy Boutique Khan’s IGA Picton Eyecare Pinnacle Tax and Accounting Relax Deer SAPE Group Wilson Storage Picton Your support isn’t just financial. It’s a statement. It says you believe in backing women in business, investing in local leadership, and strengthening our Wollondilly community. When local businesses choose to sponsor, they choose to be part of something bigger than one event. They help create spaces where women feel seen, heard, and celebrated. To our members and guests, if you can, support the businesses that support this network. Community is a two-way street. Thank you for standing with us. #internationalwomensday #wollondilly #supportlocal

Most of us started alone. An idea at the kitchen table. A late-night plan. A quiet decision to try. But growth rarely happens in isolation. It happens in conversations. In referrals. In shared wisdom. In someone else saying, “I’ve been there.” This month, as we celebrate women and leadership, we’re reminded that collaboration is not a weakness. It’s strategy. It’s strength. It’s sustainability. When women gather with generosity instead of competition, momentum builds. Confidence expands. Standards rise. Doors open faster. No one builds something meaningful entirely on their own, and when we move together, the impact is always bigger than any one of us. Join WWIB today and grow in a supportive and like minded community. We can’t wait to meet you! .au 📷 @tenillesalmonsoulimages #wollondillywomeninbusiness #wwib #supportwomeninbusiness
