Yesterday was fun. Great to see two of my favorite humans @drandallblythe and @mattsauls56 . Lots of familiar faces backstage, plus @mastodonrocks now has an Eddiesquatch. It’s like Iron Maiden’s Eddie and Sasquatch combined. Unfortunately directly after I filmed this it ate @creamale and Mastodon is no longer a band. RIP Brann. Raise Hell, Praise Dale.

@sonictemplefestival was incredible as predicted. @dannywimmerpresents / @dannywimmer always take such great care of all of the bands and crews. The day was made even better because I got to hang out with my brother from another mother @vanhalen1984 … we had a day. Here’s photo proof of all the hangs and hugs and laughs. I’ll post some performance stuff later. For now, “The Homies!”

I had a couple V.I.P.’s out at the rock show last night. They took me (at 12, which as an adult now seems slightly questionable haha) to see Jackyl. It was cool to see @jessejamesdupree talking to my Dad and shake his hand as he walked onstage last night. Forever grateful to still get to do cool stuff with my parents. They are in their 70’s and they still will out rock the great majority of my friends. haha Thank you to the @buckcherry boys for being so hospitable to my parents, genuinely. That’s huge.
First day off in 4 days. Reflecting on @welcometorockville
Doing those huge festivals is fun and exhausting, but they are worth the effort for the hangs and catching up with all the homies, roadies, and real living rock and roll stars. I am forever in awe of some of the folks with whom I’ve made acquaintances over the years doing this whole rock and roll thing.
Forever thankful and glad to have gotten the chance to do another Rockville; looking forward to the next @dannywimmer@dannywimmerpresents Fest, @sonictemplefestival coming up next weekend.
