The Wollongong University Postgraduate Association
(WUPA) strongly condemns the Federal Government‘s decision to hike the Subclass 485 (Temporary
Graduate Visa) fee by 100%.
Shifting the application cost from $2,300 to $4,600 is a direct financial blow to the international
postgraduate community during a global cost-of-living crisis.
WUPA has officially joined 11 student peak bodies across Australia in co-signing a formal demand to the Minister for Home Affairs: Reverse this decision immediately.
Our research, our skills, and our future should not be treated as a revenue stream.
