One month ago today, a dream that began quietly many years ago finally stood before God and became forever. 🤍
From a simple evening in the Yellow House at Obafemi Awolowo University in 2015… to a lifetime promise in 2026. What started as a glance, a greeting, a polite request for a phone number, and countless conversations slowly grew into something deeper than we ever imagined.
Through the years, we have laughed, learned, prayed, waited, grown, and held on to each other through every season life brought our way. What we have today is not just love. It is friendship. It is faith. It is patience. It is grace.
@ann_luchi , my beautiful wife, loving you has been one of the greatest gifts God has given me. And marrying you feels like watching a prayer whispered years ago finally bloom into reality.

Two pieces in a pod,
You cry, I soothe,
You laugh, I drool
Black and white,
Yin and Yang.
Me and you,
Two lovers at peace,
We argue, we fight,
We make up, and raise the white flag,
In the end, it's all joy,
Two lovers joined as one.

Two different pods,
You cry, I merry,
You laugh, I envy
Black and Yellow,
No name can match that.

Two soldiers at war,

Is this the day I die?
I was warned
"Do not go," they all cried out
It is tough out there,
You are not even welcomed
But my ears choose to remain deaf
My will, to serve my fatherland,
Up North or Down South
I am here now,
I love this place.
With its plains and mountains
Making for a wealthy view.
And it's beautiful people,
The most loving and peaceful.
I love the terrain
Everyone here is my friend
I am the "Corfer"
I get free food, free donkey rides
This couldn't be better
I have proved the naysayers wrong
But that was yesterday!
Suddenly the terrain is alien
The donkeys turn wild; the food is spilled,
The people turn ugly
The mountains can't hold me in,
The plains only expose me.
Will I die today?
My thoughts go back to the warnings
I wish I listened then,
I willed to serve, but my fatherland disowned me
My crime?
Heeding the clarion call... Some say death comes with a smile
But today it came in hundreds of frowning faces
Each one armed with quartzitic missiles
I know my time is up
I don't need to say that much...

A Queen or A Trophy?
Now, you love me
Even as you have little
I guess i am your greatest treasure
So I think,
What if the riches come,
Will you love me the same
Or will the riches take my place?
You are famous
To no one but me,
I am your biggest fan,

Again I think,
What if you reach those heights,
And become known to everyone,
Will you love me the same,
Or will they know you better than me?
You say I am beautiful,
I know it's true,
You crossed the Niger to find me,
Didn't you?
So I think,
If you have all the power, riches and fame in the world,
Would you love me the same,
Or would you cross the seven seas to find her
Who is fairer than me?
All three are good,

It's always twist and turns
In this game of life and death
When life wins,
We hear the joyful cries
Of a young one's birth
So it was with you
Your birth brought forth joy
Chinwendu they called you,
You brought forth God's strength
For you, they sang songs of joy... In all your deeds and actions
You brought nothing but joy
Everywhere you went, happiness followed
You were indeed rare... As a leader, you inspired us
As a colleague, you lent a helping hand
As a friend, you cared like no other
And as a daughter, you made us proud
When death wins,
It's darkness and sorrow
Tears for the one we loved and lost
