As we gather for our 2nd Anniversary celebration, we're happy to have Gacha! Bakehouse (@gachabakehouse_ ) join us as a community partner. Known for their buttery creations and “brighter and butter days ahead,” Gacha! will be serving croissants for our participants and preparing special take-home boxes for our winners. Good coffee, good company, and good pastry — all coming together for a day built around community and craft. See you soon.

Summer, served three ways. Crafted by our Opus barista, @jajardrgz , this seasonal menu is rooted in simple ingredients, thoughtful balance, and the stories behind every cup. As he puts it: “A cup that celebrates simple ingredients and the hands behind them.” From bright and refreshing to creamy and comforting, each drink was made for slow afternoons, warm conversations, and the season ahead. Now pouring at We The People Alabang and Opus. Available from May 09 – July 12.

For one night, the four corners of our space became home to stories waiting to be told, emotions long kept silent, and voices finally given room to breathe. Through Spoken From The South, The South Spoken Collective (@thesouthspokencollective ) continues to create space for poets, artists, and creatives across the South to gather, express, and simply be. Surrounded by attentive, open-hearted listeners, every piece shared that night felt deeply personal yet collectively understood. As shared by the director of The South Spoken Collective, @not_wacky : “Spoken From The South was never something we tried to label as a movement. It is something we chose to build and grow, right here for Southies, starting from a simple question. If we have space, if we have voices, what can we create together ba? So I’d rather label it as an act of staying. We rooted ourselves deeper in the South, nurturing a space where creatives can gather, share, and be seen. What it becomes is still unfolding, shaped by every storyteller who continues to show up and grow with it.” And we’re honored to be one of the spaces where that unfolding continues. We’re grateful to once again become part of something rooted in connection, expression, and community. Thank you to The South Spoken Collective team for choosing our space, and to everyone who came, listened, shared, and stayed. This is what we believe in, creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and connected. Song title: Sulit ang Araw Song by: @dyepmusic , one of the performers See you on the next!

We started with the challenge. Now we open the table. Join us for We Cup for the People, a public coffee cupping as we continue celebrating our 2nd Anniversary. Taste through our 2026 Single Origin lineup, alongside beans from the roasters and partners who make this community what it is. From competition to connection. This is where everyone gets to experience the craft. No pressure, just coffee, shared. Happening May 31. Free admission, limited slots. If you joined the Cup Tasters Challenge, this is your next stop. If you didn’t, this is your way in.

Not all work is seen, but it’s always felt. Labor Day is a reminder that every role, every shift, and every hour of work carries value. Today, we honor the stories behind the bar, the hands, the hustle, and the heart. Today, we celebrate the people who keep the bar moving, the cafĂ© alive, and the community connected. To our team, thank you. We see you. We appreciate you. Always.

Last Saturday felt like something deeper than a gathering—it felt like the South
becoming. Becoming louder in its stories, softer in its listening, stronger in the spaces it dares to hold. Chapter 3: Becoming reminded us that what we’re shaping together is no longer just beginning, it’s taking root, it’s finding its rhythm, it’s becoming home. To everyone who showed up, shared, listened, and stayed, thank you for growing with us. With gratitude to our partner venue, @wtpcoffee , for holding creative spaces in the south and to @wavesforwaterphilippines for partnering with us in raising awareness and supporting access to clean water for communities that need it. We’ll see y’all in Chapter 4 this June. 🌿 📾: @ikirstenl & @policrapio #SpokenFromTheSouth #SouthSpokenCollective #SouthCreatives #OpenMicSouth #CommunityInTheSouth
