Today is a very sad day.
It’s with an incredibly heavy heart that I post the loss of my dear friend and long-time client, Anne Burrell.
I’m not sure I have processed it but here goes nothing. It’s a 17+ year story jam packed with professional and personal zig zags and one for the ages. From early days at Food Network to over nights at HSN, the festival circuits to gigs across the globe and Rangers games to karaoke - It was always an adventure.
Her energy and her ability to turn it on was an incredible talent and she entered every room with a take no S—T from anyone attitude. And if you knew us together, frequently starting with an introduction to me in a room “Oh, have you met my dad” with a shit eating grin but mostly an endearing smile knowing I would be keeping things on track !
Her fans adored her, and she adored them back. She was a fierce friend to those she loved.
It is surreal and I will miss her !!! My deepest condolences to Stuart, Javier, Marlene, Jane and her extended family, fans and friends that knew and loved her. RIP AB. 💔
This #GivingTuesday, let’s feed hope, feed spirits, and feed GOOD! Join us @rosenfeldman in supporting @cityharvestnyc —an organization that rescues and delivers good food that would otherwise go to waste, free of charge, for NYC families struggling to put food on the table. As a member of City Harvest’s Food Council, this work is especially meaningful to us because in a lot of ways, what our friends, colleagues and clients do is the same thing—feed people. Today, City Harvest is sharing a day in the life of one of their food rescue drivers—Tanoy, who is a lifelong New Yorker and first-time father to his newborn son. Right now, every $1 donated to City Harvest is being matched and will help feed 5 New Yorkers for a day. Donate at cityharvest.org/givingtuesdaymatch #WeAreCityHarvest
