Deaf Education Advocates Foundation is participating in GiveBIG with the goal of raising funds to support students at Washington School for the Deaf (WSD), especially those facing hardship or homelessness.
With potential reductions in federal educational funding, resources for WSD children in need could be at risk. Your support can make all the difference.
Your donation will help:
- Provide supplies and equipment that support student learning and enrichment
- Help ensure students have nutritional support so they can arrive at school focused and ready to learn
- Help identify connections to local and regional services that support WSD students
- Help ensure students feel safe, and remain engaged through supportive services
The WSD community’s support plays a vital role in assisting students. When students feel supported, they thrive. By collaborating as a community, we can meet the needs of every WSD student.

Proceeds from this event will go towards supporting the WSD Junior Pickleball team. Players of all levels, aged 16 and up, are invited to join in on the fun - whether you're a beginner looking to learn the ropes or an advanced player ready to take on the competition, this tournament is for you!

Big recognition for two of our rising stars! 🏀
Juniors Michael McCullough and Nathan “NJ” Yerkes have earned well-deserved honors this season, and we couldn’t be prouder.
Michael received Honorable Mention in the Columbia Valley League and Honorable Mention from NDIAA.
NJ had an outstanding season, earning 1st Team All-League in the Columbia Valley League and 1st Team All-American honors from NDIAA.
The future is bright for both of these athletes—we’re excited to see how they continue to grow and lead heading into their senior year!
Don't forget! Next week, from April 6th to April 10th, we're taking a well-deserved break from classes and homework for Spring Break. 🐦🌷🐝

A huge THANK YOU to WSD DEAF / Deaf Education Advocates Foundation for inviting us to join in the fun with the Blazers 50/50 raffle on Monday night! Teachers, staff, students, and even some students from Western Oregon University’s interpreter training program came together for an unforgettable evening of fun, community, and Blazers spirit!
We can't wait to hear the final talley of tickets sold and we're already looking forward to next year's celebration! 🙌
