Just 5 weeks to go 'til we have the one and only @freybenedikt come to play at our day party in @lacheetahclub on 6th June!
Impossible to define and even less possible to list his lengthy credentials in a single Instagram post (check our previous posts about him for at least a summary of sorts) Benedikt Frey is a musician that all of us at Wrong Party have been avidly following: gobbling up and blasting out at loud volume his tracks, edits and remixes for years now so we're pretty excited to have this fellow play some music for us.

WPHQ is genuinely excited to announce the next special guest for our upcoming La Cheetah day party!
We have none other than Berlin’s Benedikt Frey coming to our bijou rave dungeon on Saturday 6th June to show us what he can do.
A veritable MASTER of the edit (we’ve played countless of these edits at WP over the years) as well as a prolific producer in his own right releasing on labels like ESP Institute, Hivern Discs, Optimo Music, Les Disques De La Mort, Bahnsteig23, Pinkman and his own R.i.O. and Serious Trouble labels, he has also had DJ mixes released by Dekmantel, Ransom Note, Digital Tsunami and countless others.
His sound, both when it comes to edits and his DJ mixes, encompass everything from new beat, industrial, R&B, techno, trance, hiphop, pop you name it but all warped to his own unique twisted psychedelic hypno-beat vision. To say “you won’t be disappointed” would be a gross understatement. You will be thoroughly ECSTATIC to hear this fresh take on dance music and we’re so pleased to have him play with us in Glasgow.
Over the coming weeks we’ll be a sharing some of his DJ mixes, tracks and edits with you to whet your appetites.

After an immense 3-hour set at our day party in La Cheetah back in December (which people are still talking about to this day) we've managed to get a 5th instalment of our irregular Wrong Side Of The Tracks mix series from the maestro himself. It's a 2-hour trip into the sublime and beyond.
Intergalactic Gary needs no introduction, but for those of you stumbling across this as the result of some strange algorithmic fandango, Intergalactic Gary is an Australian-born veteran of the Dutch electronic dance music scene whose career spans 4 decades: a purveyor of obscure electro, disco, house, technoid and leftfield dancefloor bombs who has that rare knack of taking you on a proper "journey" and makes it seem flawlessly easy in the process.
This mix is no exception; completely unpredictable yet thoroughly engaging, it covers everything from downtempo deep house, hiphop and cosmic electro to obscure Dutch post punk and peak weirdo WRONGness.

The weekend is still in full flow, but we’re planning on ripping the arse out of it even more than normal tomorrow with a full six-hour sesh with the Let’s Go Back crew and their infamous Sunday Soundclash Rave.
You know the drill by now. The lads will be cranking out a soundtrack of anything and everything, from old-school hip hop, rave and house, through dub, breaks and more, right up to the very latest in cutting-edge floorfillers, as well as anything else, from any genre, that takes their fancy. All with full rave lighting, smoke and general vibes. Oh and lasers. Yes. Lasers. 😍
If that wasn’t enough, this week their special guests are thee awesome Wrong Party.
The mutoid dance collective have been bringing their sordid disco, oddball electronics and turbo mantras to the Southside of Glasgow and beyond now for a good few years and have established a reputation as one of the most unique and immense parties in the city.
Their first McChuills session will see them flexing their collective music collection and digging deep for a more expansive selection than your usual turbo-charged WP offering.
