The Write4Climate Project 2025 🌍✍🏽 was another dynamic project which bridged the gap between climate awareness and climate action, especially among students and young people.
The session addressed pressing climate realities affecting Nigeria today, like flooding, heat stress, food insecurity, and environmental degradation, while highlighting why climate change is no longer a future concern but a present responsibility.
Participants explored the power of writing, storytelling, and media as tools for climate advocacy, as the Wikipedia UNILORIN Fan Club took every participant through how they can leverage on Wikipedia to promote awareness. Beyond theory, the workshop equipped young persons with practical skills to communicate climate issues clearly, responsibly, and persuasively, turning knowledge into impact, through the Wikipedia platform.
The workshop also emphasized the role of organisations, youths and professionals supporting climate education, and amplifying credible climate narratives while addressing the challenges of misinformation and weak climate communication in Nigeria.
Climate action begins with informed voices.
