some updates for those asking: after so many healthy years, we have now discovered that both sumi and percy have severe heart murmurs that might mean daily medication, sumi has asthma that requires a kitty inhaler twice a day everyday, and percy has hyperthyroidism which has caused her to lose weight— she’s down to 5.5lbs as of late.
for her hyperthyroidism, percy will need medication twice a day everyday for the rest of her life OR radioactive therapy that will cost upwards of $4000 which is the option we are leaning towards to help her avoid the countless stressful vet visits that come with the daily medication. other than that, sumi and percy both seem happy and not in any pain so that’s what really matters. luckily we finally both have jobs and a good credit card so we are not looking for any money, just good vibes and emotional support during this difficult time 🙏🏻💕 thank you everyone
