Last week, in front of 600 incredible supporters at our Champions for Change gala, we made an announcement. Women's Resource Center to End Domestic Violence is becoming In Safe Company. Our new name comes from the heart of what we have always done. When survivors of domestic and sexual violence come to us, what they need most is to feel safe and to know they are not alone. In Safe Company puts words to the promise we make to every person who walks through our doors: that you are surrounded, supported, and in the company of people who believe in you. It is not just a name. It is our commitment. Today, we serve more than 9,000 people each year across metro Atlanta. We offer 24-hour crisis hotlines, housing programs, legal advocacy, youth prevention programs, sexual assault services, mental health and wellness programming, and so much more. You will continue to see the Women's Resource Center to End Domestic Violence name and logo as we enter this phase of transition. We invite you join us as we step into this next chapter of healing and hope. A huge THANK YOU to Shimmy Mob DeKalb @shimmymob for hosting such an incredible fundraiser event in support of the Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence last Saturday! 💜 Thanks to their generosity and the amazing community that showed up, they raised $750 to support survivors and families in our community. Guests enjoyed a fabulous showcase of belly dance fusion performances at The Halidom Eatery in Atlanta- all while dancing for a great cause. We are so grateful to all the talented performers, organizers, and supporters who made this fun and meaningful event possible. Thank you for standing with survivors and helping us create safer futures together! ✨ #WRCDV #EndDomesticViolence #SupportSurvivors #CommunitySupport #AtlantaNonprofit #ShimmyMob #BellyDanceFusion #Fundraiser #DanceForACause #VolunteerLove #TogetherWeCan #HealingAndHope 💜

💜 Did You Know? 💜 May is Supervised Visitation Awareness Month. This is a time dedicated to recognizing the importance of safe, supportive spaces where children can maintain healthy connections with their families during difficult transitions. At Nia’s Place, we understand that supervised visitation is more than just monitored time together... it’s about protecting children, rebuilding trust, and creating opportunities for healing and positive family relationships. Every child deserves to feel safe, heard, and supported. Every family deserves access to compassionate care that puts children’s well-being first. This month, we honor our advocates at Nia's Place and the families working every day to create brighter futures for children. 💜 #SupervisedVisitationAwarenessMonth #NiasPlace #ChildSafety #FamilySupport #HealingFamilies #SafeSpacesForChildren

This Mother’s Day, we honor the strength, resilience, and love of mothers everywhere...especially those working to build safer, more stable lives for themselves and their children. At WRCDV (soon to be In Safe Company), we see every day how powerful a mother’s love can be. It’s in the courage to seek safety, the determination to start over, and the hope for a brighter future. Through legal advocacy, safe shelter, children’s programming, sexual assault services, support groups, and more, we walk alongside mothers and families as they rebuild, heal, and move forward. We stand with mothers navigating difficult circumstances, offering support, resources, and a path forward... because every family deserves to feel safe, supported, and empowered. Today, we celebrate you. 💜 #MothersDay #WRCDV #InSafeCompany #SupportFamilies #EndDomesticViolence #StrongerTogether

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚 At WRCDV, we recognize that healing isn’t just physical—it’s emotional and mental, too. Survivors of violence often carry invisible wounds, and prioritizing mental health is an essential part of the journey toward safety, stability, and empowerment. This month, we stand with survivors and our community to break the stigma, encourage open conversations, and remind everyone that support is available. You are not alone, and your mental health matters. Let’s continue to uplift one another, practice compassion, and create spaces where healing can happen. #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth #SupportSurvivors #EndTheStigma #WRCDV

Last night’s Champions for Change Gala was nothing short of incredible. Thank you to everyone who joined us, celebrated with us, and gave so generously in support of our mission to create a world free from violence. As we marked 40 years of impact, it was powerful to reflect on our past, honor the work happening in the present, and look ahead to an even stronger future. With 600 guests in the room, the energy, commitment, and compassion were truly inspiring, and together we raised $760,000, exceeding our original goal. We’re especially excited to share a big moment from the evening...our new name. The Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence is becoming In Safe Company. This rebrand reflects who we are today and where we’re going tomorrow. We’re so grateful to be in this work, and in this community with you. 💜 #ChampionsForChange #InSafeCompany #WRCDV #EndDomesticViolence #SupportSurvivors #CommunityImpact #NonprofitLife #ATLCommunity #40YearsStrong #TogetherWeCan
