To our Patients & Visitors, The Davis Avenue parking garage is now permanently closed as we prepare for an exciting new Hospital expansion to serve our community. When arriving to the Hospital, please valet at the main entrance, or self-park in our new West Lot, located a block away from the Hospital. The West Lot is located at 232 Maple Avenue in White Plains (Gate 2) or 61 West Post Road (Gate 1). There are no changes to our parking for our Center for Cancer Care, Center for Advanced Medicine & Surgery, or Emergency Department. We are excited to share more details about our planned expansion in the near future!

White Plains Hospital hosted its second annual "Ride for a Reason" at SoulCycle in honor of National Stroke Awareness Month. Staff, supporters, and community members came together for a workout in support of the White Plains Hospital Neurosciences Program and to help raise awareness around stroke prevention, education, and care. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and a special thank you to Dr. Rafael A. Ortiz, Executive Director of Neurosciences, for his continued leadership and in making this event possible! Remember to BE FAST: Balance loss, Eyesight changes, Face drooping, Arm weakness, Speech difficulty, Time to call 911. #WPHProud #StrokeAwareness

What a week celebrating the people who make White Plains Hospital exceptional! From employee appreciation events and years of service recognitions, to wellness activities and moments of connection across the Hospital — Hospital Week 2026 was all about honoring our incredible staff. To make the week even more special, we had even more to celebrate — 5 Stars, 5 Times, which only 3% of Hospitals can claim, and we were also named a 2026 Best Place to Work by Modern Healthcare! Thank you to every member of our team for the compassion, dedication, and excellence you bring to our patients and community each day! #HospitalWeek2026 #WPHProud

A stroke can happen to anyone, anywhere. For Ertha Small-Nicolas, AVP of Patient Care Services at White Plains Hospital, a regular work day in 2024 took a sudden, unexpected turn. Thankfully, her trusted colleagues recognized the signs of a stroke and sprung into action. Thank you, Ertha, for telling your story and raising awareness! Remember, know the signs, BE FAST. White Plains Hospital is proud to be accredited as a Comprehensive Stroke Center by The Joint Commission and American Heart Association. Learn more about our stroke program at wphospital.org/stroke

Today is World Stroke Thrombectomy Day! I had the opportunity to speak with White Plains Hospital and local EMS providers to discuss this lifesaving procedure. I have also introduced a Congressional Resolution alongside @repdingell to recognize today as World Stroke Thrombectomy Day and encourage the development of a standardized EMS training curriculum for stroke recognition and routing. Motherhood is filled with moments of strength, resilience, and love, and every story matters. For Janelle, that journey holds an especially deep meaning. After beginning her career as a Labor & Delivery nurse and later transitioning to the NICU in 2019, she experienced firsthand the care she helps provide every day when she delivered premature identical twin boys who required NICU care, while also facing a life-threatening complication herself. Knowing ahead of time that her pregnancy would be high risk, Janelle says she had complete confidence in the nurses, doctors, and staff caring for her and her boys, many of whom were not only colleagues, but close friends. Today, her twin boys are healthy and thriving at 4 years old, and Janelle continues to care for patients in the very NICU where her own family once received support. As she celebrates 15 years at White Plains Hospital, we honor her story and all the mothers, families, and caregivers who make our community so special. Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at White Plains Hospital. #WPHProud
