Comp Center alum and U.S. Ski Team member @asher.michel stopped by the @rockymountainfreestyle RQS at @arapahoe_basin yesterday to cheer on his sister Mesa and reconnect with former coach Laurie Mooney. Moments like this remind us how strong the Winter Park freestyle family really is — celebrating the athletes who came before while inspiring the ones chasing their dreams today. Once a Winter Park athlete, always a Winter Park athlete. 🏔️ ❤️
🏆Congratulations are in order for Alivia Martin, who at just 15 years old has qualified to represent the United States at the 2026 FIS Freestyle Junior World Championships this March in Airolo, Switzerland.
From training on the legendary Ambush mogul course to earning top results across national and NorAm competitions, Alivia’s love for the sport has propelled her to the international stage.
The Junior World Championships bring together the best young mogul skiers on the planet — and Alivia is ready to represent Winter Park, Grand County, and Team USA! 🇺🇸

The U14 / U16 Rocky Central Showdown continues at Winter Park today! Top U14 and U16 athletes from across the 18-state Rocky/Central Region are in town for a high-energy regional showdown. The competition launched yesterday with mixed parallel races, then turns up the intensity with GS today and Slalom on Tuesday!

Big mountain energy from some seriously creative 4th & 5th graders 🎨🏔️
For National Ski Area Association’s Skier Safety Month, Fraser Valley Elementary students turned their art class into a safety mission—designing posters all about smart choices on the slopes. After the Winter Park Ski Patrol judged for Best Safety Message and Most Creative, six standout artists — including some Comp Center athletes — earned the ultimate prize: a full day behind the scenes with Patrol.
They helped with morning trail checks, got hands-on with real first aid equipment (future heroes in the making), met and worked with our avalanche dogs, and even rode snowmobiles and toboggans. Not your average school day.
Safety never looked so cool. Huge shoutout to these young leaders for reminding us all that awareness is the best gear you can wear. 🐾🚑
