We are excited to welcome Givon Christian to Stanmore as our 1XI overseas for the 2026 season.
Joining us from Western Province Cricket Club in Cape Town, Givon arrives with an outstanding record behind him after finishing as the leading run scorer in the 2025-26 WPCA Premier League, with 939 runs at an average of 59 and strike rate of 74.
Having also recorded two 1000 run seasons in the last four Western Province Premier League campaigns, there’s no doubt Givon will add serious quality to the club this summer.

The defending champions have a chance to go back-to-back.
It was Rhenish Girls’ High School who pushed the 2025 U16 champions all the way to a shootout, but Paarl Gimnasium held their nerve and came out on top. They now have the opportunity to defend their title tomorrow in the Belgotex Sport U16 Girls Challenge final.
In the second semi-final of the day, St John’s DSG from Pietermaritzburg edged Waterkloof from Pretoria 2–1 in an intense contest to book their place in the final.
The final takes place at WPCC tomorrow at 11:30.
We are set for an absolute cracker as we get behind these incredible young women.
