The surroundings we live in leave their mark, gradually becoming part of the way we create.
In Valencia, where the Spanish studio @yonohestudio is based, green corridors slip between the city’s architecture, while layers of history reveal themselves in the details. Sun-washed stone, intricate ornamentation and more contemporary forms exist side by side, each carrying traces of the era in which they were shaped.
With a long-standing tradition of craftsmanship and furniture making, Valencia continues to nurture a creative culture where ideas are shaped and brought into form.
After 20 years, the Spanish design studio @yonohestudio continues to evolve. And yet, there is a strong sense of continuity, grounded in the same curiosity that has been there from the beginning.
Their way of working remains the same, refined over time through persistence, intuition, and a deep understanding of materials and process.
During our visit, their WOUD design, Flora, found its place within their studio, becoming part of the setting where ideas are explored and brought into form.

A botanical-inspired, comfortable and sculptural modular sofa by @yonohestudio . The Flora sofa consists of four modules that can be easily arranged in various configurations, inspired by the natural growth of petals. This creates an open and relaxed lounge expression with a soft, organic presence.

Over a few days shaped by conversations and shared reflections, we experienced the city alongside the studio, gaining a closer understanding of their way of working while capturing fragments of their universe as it unfolds.

Two Utility shelves have moved into the home of interior stylist kristinnaandreasen.
With its open construction and honest materials, the design becomes a harmonious framework for Kristinna’s curated compositions, where carefully chosen objects are allowed to stand out.
Elevate is a shelving system with many possibilities, yet it also works in its simplest form as a calm and visually light bookcase, where selected books and objects are allowed to stand out. Here, Elevate becomes a minimal frame, letting the objects take centre stage and tell their own stories.
