Had an absolute blast pacing @worthingrunfest Half Marathon with @xempo on Sunday.
I was one of the 1:40 pacers, which meant splits of 4:44/km. Slight humble brag here, but I was very pleased (or relieved?!) to hit almost all of them between 4:42 and 4:46; and have a finish time of 1:40:05. (Would you believe me if I said the course was about five seconds too long?!) 😜
But way more importantly, what a vibe was Worthing was! 🥳 The buzz and atmosphere was amazing. The number of cheers, jeers and outright heckles I got was overwhelming. (Thanks for the “He should run for Gazelles!”) Getting to be a part of everyone’s race day experience, seeing them hang on in the hard miles before getting their PB at the finish.
Next year I’ll pack some sunscreen though… 🥴🍅

Never really been a fan of race pics - normally always grimacing or down stepping IYKYK. But I seemingly perfected my race poses for @worthingrunfest Worthing Half and these really capture how happy I was! @luciecharlotte_ and I living our best lives! For those wanting to try out pacing - you should! There’s nothing like it. 2,20 gang smashed it! ❤️
