April 19th at 8MM. NY’s dark-synth duo Ghost Cop is coming to Berlin bringing their cinematic, haunting electronics rooted in dark-wave, post-punk and horror themes — designed for late-night dancefloors and subterranean clubs. Ghost Cop are a dark-synth duo from New York, formed by Lucy Swope and Sean Dack. Their sound fuses the shadowy aesthetics of post-punk and dark-wave with the cinematic tension of vintage horror and science fiction. Drawing from the visual and sonic language of late ’70s and ’80s genre cinema, the band crafts hypnotic, atmospheric tracks that feel equally suited to a neon-lit dancefloor or a fever dream. On their album Trouble, Ghost Cop delve into deeply personal territory, exploring themes of mental illness, neurodivergence, and emotional dissonance through lush analog synth textures and pulsing rhythms. The record continues their fascination with the uncanny and the psychological, pairing sleek production with raw human vulnerability. Known for their immersive live performances and strong visual identity, Ghost Cop create a world where horror, desire, and beauty intertwine — a cinematic experience that feels both nostalgic and intensely modern. 5th FEBRUARY @lark.berlin Holzmarktstraße 15-18, 10179 Berlin TIX: TIXFORGIGS.COM @theserfs draw dark influence from the late-’70s post-punk and new wave era, where synthesizers and minimalism first began to dominate the landscape. Their sonic architecture traces a direct line to giants like Joy Division, Cabaret Voltaire, and Tubeway Army. Beyond the vintage aesthetic, the band delivers sharp, impressive songwriting that proves they are more than just a throwback act. @slashneed is a goth-electronica act defined by raw, unfiltered energy. Their music surges and claws through the senses like a violent signal demanding to be felt. The group delivers explosive, high-intensity performances that bridge the gap between industrial grit and electronic innovation. @the_mall.punk is a St. Louis solo act finding the sweet spot between electronic music and punk. By combining deep bass and massive electronic grooves with a punk ethos, they have created an "alien hybrid" that subverts traditional industrial music. Their sound is built on swarming pulses and moody synths, resulting in tough-as-nails dance songs that explore themes of nostalgia and the mechanized void. On November 27th, 2025, Sacred Skin return to Berlin for a show at 8mm Bar. Tickets in bio.

Sacred Skin are an LA band blending heart-on-sleeve emotion with glossy synths and post-punk grit. The trio — Brian DaMert, Brian Tarney, and Delano Hillard — channel the drama and drive of the ’80s through a modern, cinematic lens. Their songs hit that sweet spot between nostalgia and something fresh—think neon nights, big melodies, and just the right amount of melancholy. After turning heads with their debut LP “The Decline of Pleasure” on Artoffact Records, they came back in 2024 with “Born in Fire”—a bigger, bolder record full of heartbreak, hope, and late-night energy. Most recently, they teamed up with SRSQ for the single “Insomnia”—a shimmering, moody anthem that captures everything Sacred Skin do best: emotion, atmosphere, and melody that sticks with you long after. Lathe Of Heaven and Desinteresse present their new records live in Berlin, with support from Sexverbot. Nov. 3 at Neue Zukunft. Tickets in bio. Lathe of Heaven is a Brooklyn-based post-punk / new-wave band formed in 2021. Blending melodic riffs, urgent rhythms, and sci-fi themes, they balance beauty and dissonance, drawing from Musta Paraati and A Flock of Seagulls while forging a sound uniquely their own. Their debut Bound By Naked Skies (2023) paid homage to classic ’80s post-punk and visionary authors like Arthur C. Clarke and Ursula K. Le Guin (whose novel inspired their name). The follow-up Aurora (out Aug 29, 2025) expands their sound into vivid, emotional vignettes — mixing punk energy with shimmering new-wave textures and exploring themes of anti-colonialism, diversity, and equality. Desinteresse is a Dutch coldwave trio formed in 2022, featuring Bart (bass), Joppe (drums), and Sem (vocals, synth, guitar). Emerging with two cassettes on their own label Decadence, the band quickly gained recognition after playing Grauzone Festival and touring across the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium. Their singles Grijze Dromen and Silhouet led to a signing with Fabrika Records, who released their debut studio album Onschuld in Sept 2025. Recorded entirely analog at The Lullabye Factory in Amsterdam, Onschuld channels the raw energy of 70s–80s coldwave, blending vintage gear with Dutch lyrics inspired by film, literature, and existential themes. Echoing The Cure, Joy Division, and Trop Tard, Desinteresse delivers a minimal, melancholic sound where emotion outweighs melody. Sexverbot is a punk band from Berlin — fast guitars, sharp lyrics, and uncompromising energy. Their raw sound and direct songwriting capture the hopelessness and anger of a generation, echoing the pioneers of past decades. Poster: @sashasinica See u X

On July 4th Lust For Youth is back to Berlin. The concert is at Lark, together with Anton Falck of First Hate and experimental-pop artist Triš. Tickets are limited – check bio. Lust For Youth is a Danish-Swedish electronic duo formed by Hannes Norrvide and later joined by Malthe Fischer. The project began in the early 2010s as Norrvide’s lo-fi coldwave solo act. Early releases like Solar Flare, Growing Seeds, and Chasing the Light combined minimal synths with melodic fragments and tape hiss. In 2013, Fischer joined, steering the sound toward melodic synth-pop. This shift shaped the albums International (2014) and Compassion (2016), the latter made briefly as a trio with Loke Rahbek. Since then, the duo has continued to evolve, blending shoegaze and ambient influences. Their 2019 self-titled album was described as “bold and bright.” Recent singles Accidental Win and Giorgia continued their atmospheric direction. Their latest release, All Worlds (2025), a collaboration with Croatian Amor on Sacred Bones, explores themes of connection and belonging, drawing inspiration from the Golden Record sent into space. Anton Falck, best known for his dance moves as the frontman of Copenhagen’s notorious synth-pop duo First Hate, is exploring the darker side of synth pop and club music in his newly appeared, already super hyped solo project. Expect to sweat. Triš (Oleksandra Trishyna) is a Ukrainian-born, Berlin-based artist blending art pop, experimental electronics, breakbeat, and drum & bass. Since 2020, she has self-released music with autotuned vocals and glitchy textures. Her latest album, Songs, features lyrics in Ukrainian and English, and a distinct, independently crafted sound. Buzz Kull and Kontravoid bring their distinctive take on dark electronic music playing double-bill at Neue Zukunft on June 4th.
It’s one week to go and low tickets alert – be fast, check bio. Kontravoid, the masked master of dark pop, brings his intense, physical stage presence and haunting EBM-inflected electro sound to Berlin. From the pulsing melancholy of "Undone" to the club-fueled urgency of “Too Deep,” Kontravoid’s music lives in the fog and flicker of the underground. With past tours alongside Boy Harsher and Drab Majesty, and releases on Fleisch Records, Kontravoid is a singular force in the post-industrial scene. Buzz Kull — the alter ego of Sydney's Marc Dwyer — conjures a raw, dystopian world of sinister synths and pounding rhythms. His recent album Fascination continues his exploration of noir-wave territory, where emotional depth meets unrelenting dancefloor energy. Buzz Kull is known for channeling bleak beauty into sonic power, having collaborated with Ellen Allien, Liars, and Kontravoid. To add sauce – Mike Sacchetti will take over opening hours on decks setting the mood with his precise and often cinematic selections rooted in coldwave, EBM, Italo and beyond. This Saturday March 29th at Lark Berlin, Worn Pop presents a live concert of SDH (Semiotics Department of Heteronyms) with Schwund for an opening act. 🎫 in bio. SDH (Semiotics Department of Heteronyms) is a duo formed by Andrea P. Latorre and Sergi Algiz is a specialist in shedding skin and gladly combines new heteronyms in Fake is Real, their sophomore album after their self titled debut in 2018 and subsequent EPs Against Strong Thinking and Maybe a Body, which have been full of reinterpretations and remixes. Another sign is that they trust their modus operandi to mutation and the idea that nothing is ever quite said. It’s been three years of work, growth and numerous performances in venues and festivals throughout Europe. In Fake is Real, SDH go out once again in search of nightclubs that are familiar, but never obvious. The occasion is tremendous and the list of honorees is select: beginning with the producer Kris Baha, who has provided forcefulness to the rhythmic base and prominence to the voices. The dress code transcends the categories of darkwave, to dress as mischievous EBM, with accessories from new dance, acid house and disrupted but melodic techno, with structured twists that come to caress the electronic psychedelia. A work open to so many influences, that it gives a pleasant vertigo to be involved in it. If you’ve ever been afraid of the night, Fake is Real offers you a reconciliation with all its rhythms that invites you to move together in the club. SCHWUND is a Berlin based synth-punk / minimal / darkwave solo act. The music is influenced by 80 ́s german minimal punk, NDW, Kassettentäter music, Avantggarde Electronic, EBM and Dadaist german text. During his performances Schwund creates the music live with the use of analog machines, re-interpreting the songs and using his voice as an instrument. He used to be one half of the synthwave-duo Das Das and drummer of the Berlin punk band Maske. Currently he is the synth-player and founder of the synth-punk / nowave band Lohn Der Angst. Schwund is also founder of the underground cassette label Nachschlag. Poster by @sashasinica See u X

Xeno & Oaklander present their latest LP Via Negativa (in the doorway light) at Lark Berlin with a support of Dutch minimal synth / electro pioneer Das Ding. 🎫 in bio. Brooklyn-based minimal synth duo Xeno & Oaklander was formed in 2004 by Sean McBride and Liz Wendelbo. Drawing from 1970s and 1980s cold wave and minimal electronic music, they create hypnotic, analog-driven soundscapes using vintage synths and drum machines. With albums like Sentinelle (2009), Par Avion (2014), Hypnos (2019), and Vi/deo(2021), released on labels like Ghostly International, Dais Records, and Wierd Records, they have played a key role in the revival of minimal synth and cold wave, influencing a new wave of electronic artists. Xeno & Oaklander’s eighth and latest album, Via Negativa (In the Doorway Light), draws inspiration from the concept of “the other side, the negative image of a positive.” Recorded in the fall of 2023 at their modernist Connecticut home fashioned into a two-story synthesizer lab — the album balances visionary spirit with meticulous execution. Embryonic piano sketches evolved into intricate modular synth compositions, enriched by harmonic layers, tuned percussion, and rhythmic overtones. Despite its technological complexity, the album delivers emotive, widescreen anthems for the cybernetic age.
Das Ding is a moniker of Danny Bosten, a Dutch musician and graphic designer based in Rotterdam. In the early 1980s, while studying graphic design, Bosten founded the cassette label Tear Apart Tapes, releasing his own music and that of his friends. Operating from his bedroom studio, he crafted powerful dark electro tracks characterized by their minimalist and danceable qualities. After years of underground obscurity, Das Ding was rediscovered in the late 2000s by the influential label Minimal Wave, which reissued his early recordings and brought his music to a new generation of listeners. Today, Das Ding is celebrated as a pioneer in the minimal synth genre, influencing contemporary electronic music with new releases and live performances. LA new-romantics meets NY dark pop in Berlin. 🎫 in bio. Los Angeles-based Sacred Skin explore the vastness of spellbinding, anthemic pop music. The first single, Colder was released in March of 2021 and stole the hearts of dark souls everywhere with their melancholic undertones and pitch perfect songwriting. Subsequent singles landed them early live shows at LA’s Substance Festival and famed venue the Hollywood Palladium supporting AFI. The succession of singles and live dates led to the release of their first LP, The Decline of Pleasure in May 2022. With its distinctive new wave arrangements and powerhouse vocals, the album is unlike anything in its class. Their use of early digital outboard gear and samplers, namely the Sequential Prophet VS synthesizer and the EMU Emulator II, retains a classic studio feel that is timelessly unique. Sacred Skin’s second LP Born in Fire was released on September 13, 2024. Rare DM is the brainchild of singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Erin Hoagg. She crafts intimate, alluring tunes that seamlessly blend dark aesthetics with dance-pop sensibilities. Armed with a collection of vintage analogue synthesizers and drum machines and drawing inspiration from EBM, minimal techno, electroclash, post-punk, and bloghouse, Rare DM transforms the mundane into the magical. Electrifying fusion of coldwave-infused EBM, synth pop and shoegaze represented by essential LA artists. 🎫 in bio. SRSQ (pronounced seer-skew) is the moniker of singer, musician, and elemental force Kennedy Ashlyn. From foundational years as co-founder of visionary shoegaze duo Them Are Us Too (alongside the late, lamented Cash Askew) through her growing body of solo work on Dais Records, she has steadily honed her multi-octave range and moodswing songcraft into an increasingly potent poetic voice. 2019’s celebrated debut, Unreality, showcased a deepening gift for melodic dynamics and emotive exorcism – a mode she half-seriously coined “griefwave.” The album’s passionate response prompted extensive live dates, further sharpening her natural performative instincts. 2022 further confirms Kennedy as an essential generational talent, able to synthesize private struggles and sorrows into stirring, redemptive anthems. Hers is a music of tumult and triumph, darkest night breaking into brightest dawn, where anguish blurs and becomes acceptance. SRSQ’s seeds have only just begun to bloom; looming tours, videos, and more will inevitably hasten an already radiant refinement. “Dedication to my work will be my saving grace, and ultimately I’ll destroy the bullshit ideas of who I am or how I have to be, and experience true freedom.” MS. BOAN. Moody, mysterious & experimental. Synth-pop visionary legend, Mariana A Saldaña is MS.BOAN. Formally of Medio Mutante, //TENSE//. Saldaña invites you into big, wide, cinemascapes, swirling ephemeral beats with deeply human lyrics. Honed for years while mixing up stormy emotions of coldwave, the ecstatic energy of EBM, and influences absorbed through her Mexican-American heritage. Serving up intense dance-pop, Ms.BOAN performs with a dramatic, emotional spirit. Poster by @sashasinica See U X
