it sounds silly but i don't think i will ever regret living out of a suitcase for the month of april, no matter how stressful every train station in europe was ⭐️ leaving love behind in paris, düsseldorf, brussels, and most of all amsterdam ❤️ i will be back!
i just must say this was a dream ☁️ i didn't know what to expect coming into my first artists residency and whatever odd, confusing, maybe sad feeling was there before, i've been completely restored.
i was endlessly humbled and amazed every day by the fellow artists i shared a space with. truly truly truly. it was a privilege to watch such creative people do what they do best. it was as inspiring as it was stunning.

when i dropped out of saic in 2019, i truly truly truly thought i was done with school in general and specifically art school, with my love for making films struck down. i don't even remember why i decided to try to give it another go (probably because i was tired of laying in bed and crying over what could have been lol) but i came to mica in 2021 and as much as i have complained, i think a part of my heart will dangle over bolton hill forever. i'm so thankful for my professors who pushed me, my new friends who watched every piece i made, and my family who supported me every time i cursed myself for going back to school. i'm so proud of my little thesis group, my favorite filmmakers ever. i will have so much to say about mica forever. thank you to my never ending family, mica buddies, saic buddies, my cat, everyone who had anything nice to say ever. i have love for you in every bit of me. bye for now!

after starting school in 2019, dropping out, a global lockdown, and going back to school in 2021, i have finally finished! and my thesis film "don't want to make it worse" is done 🛸 some much needed thank yous:
thank you to my actors chloe and katrina for taking this near and dear story to the next level, what talent i was lucky to have! thank you jo and kayla for not only doing sound but literally anything i needed help with! & most of all thank you to not only my cinematographer but best buddy jackson for being my dp on all of my favorite projects!!!! may we make weird movies together forever and ever. + thank you everyone in the film&video department for any guidance given!
also thank you to all my friends and family for making this sm easier :) for listening to me complain and cry, for driving our pounds and pounds of equipment back and forth from the film center, and for staying up long nights with me as i ask for editing feedback. how lucky are we.......
