With the DOJ’s recent investigation into a high-end network of brothels, many people have been appalled as to why the identities of the high profile sex buyers (which include elected officials) have remained anonymous. Unfortunately, this is the reality for sex buyers. Conversations frequently focus on the people in prostitution rather than those who fuel the demand for paid sex. Policies address whether people in prostitution are there by “choice” rather than holding accountable those who perpetrate the violence in the sex trade and cause it to grow.
It’s time we shift the narrative and put the spotlight on sex buyers.
This case isn’t only about survivors of Epstein’s trafficking and sexual crimes — it’s about survivors everywhere who finally feel a little bit of hope that their stories will be listened to and imagine a future where there is justice.
But we’re not there yet because the Department of Justice is engaging in a massive cover-up.
WorldWE Co-Founder and CEO Lauren Hersh joined @katiephang to discuss the DOJ's position that there is nothing left to investigate in the Epstein case and what that means for more than 1,200 survivors.
Decades ago, Maria Farmer came forward and told the truth. Had the government acted, we would not be where we are today. That failure is a miscarriage of justice, and survivors are still paying the price.

Most people haven't heard of 764. That's part of what makes it dangerous.
764 is an online network of predators who recruit, groom, and blackmail children into producing explicit material and self-harm content. The FBI has classified it as a top-tier national security threat, with 56 field offices actively investigating cases nationwide.
This isn't happening in the shadows. It's happening on the mainstream platforms children use every day.
Swipe to understand how it works and what you can do.

Today, WorldWE Co-Founder and CEO Lauren Hersh testified at a shadow hearing in West Palm Beach, where Epstein survivors spoke directly about sealed records, secret deals, and the ongoing fight for accountability.
Survivors were harmed not only by Epstein, but by law enforcement that made secret deals without notifying victims and allowed abuse to continue — and by a DOJ that released survivors' personal information while maintaining the privacy of perpetrators. Every one of those failures sends the same message: accountability is optional for the powerful.
That is not a mistake. That is a pattern. And it demands a response that matches the severity of what has gone wrong.
Survivors have had enough. The American public has had enough. The path forward requires more than acknowledgment. It requires a serious course correction, real answers from the DOJ, and meaningful recourse for every survivor whose privacy, safety, and dignity have been violated in this process.
The 2026 World Without Exploitation Conference: The Cutting Edge of Action is officially sold out. We are grateful to everyone who registered and look forward to seeing you in Washington D.C., June 7 - 9.

New York just raised the bar for children’s online safety.
We thank Governor Hochul for including Safe By Design provisions in the FY 2027 State Budget, requiring platforms to prioritize children’s safety over profits.
The budget mandates default privacy protections for minors, disables AI chatbots for children, restricts unknown connections on gaming platforms, and safeguards children’s location data. Children shouldn’t have to opt in to being safe online. This budget makes protection the default.
Online predators exploit gaps in platform design to reach children. New York is leading the way in prioritizing child safety over Big Tech’s profits.
Thank you, Governor Hochul, for putting children first.
