The first in his village to go to college. 📚
Rifky was determined, but sponsorship through World Vision helped open the door.
Rifky has noticed the impact sponsorship is having in his community. School is being prioritised over early marriages, and more children are considering higher education. He dreams of returning as a teacher to inspire the next generation.

Did you know that child sponsorship benefits more than just one child? 🧡
It gives you the chance to build a meaningful connection with your sponsored child, where you get to see the changes in their life firsthand. ✨
While your support focuses on one child, the impact ripples through their entire community🌊.
By investing in things like local schools, health clinics, and clean water wells, taps, and toilets, sponsorship creates a sustainable environment where every child can grow up safe and supported.
For every child sponsored, four more benefit. 🤸♀️🏃♀️➡️
It’s a powerful way to make a lasting global impact from right where you are. 🌍

You can’t learn on an empty stomach. 🍎📖
In classrooms around the world, school meals are a vital ingredient for success. They keep kids in school, improve concentration, and bring smiles to every desk. By removing the barrier of hunger, we give every student the fair shot at the education they deserve.
At World Vision, we believe every child deserves the nutrition they need to reach their full potential. 📈✨
“Before, we were just surviving. Now we are moving forward,” says Headteacher Rodgers Duwa.

Vera is 9 years old. Every morning and every evening, she walks to collect water for her family. 💧
The local dam in Akwetteh, Ghana is the only water source her family has. The water is dirty and unsafe but it’s what Vera drinks, cooks with and bathes in every day. “When I drink the water, it gives me diarrhoea,” Vera says. “When I bathe with it, my body itches”.
This is the reality for many children like Vera, who spend their days collecting water that puts their health at risk.
World Vision’s mission is to change this story for good. We don't just provide a quick fix; we partner with communities for up to 15 years to build lasting, clean water infrastructure. Through Child Sponsorship, your support funds the boreholes and systems that keep children like Vera healthy, safe, and in the classroom.
Be the reason Vera’s story changes. Tap the link in our bio to sponsor a child and bring clean water to communities like Vera’s. 🧡

Heartbreak and hope in South Sudan.
In this episode, Fola Komolafe, CEO of World Vision UK, speaks with Mesfin Loha from Juba about life for children and families in one of the world’s most fragile contexts.
They explore the impact of displacement, access to essential services like healthcare and education, and the realities facing women and girls, including extremely high rates of gender-based violence.
Earlier this year, Fola visited communities in Renk Transit Centre, where families are navigating incredibly challenging conditions. With around 70% of the population in need of humanitarian assistance, and more than a million people crossing the border seeking refuge, pressure on already stretched services continues to grow.
Through it all, there are moments of resilience and hope. Working alongside communities and local partners, World Vision is supporting families with clean water, healthcare, nutrition and education.

Davith was falling behind at school and slowly giving up.
Flooded paths, missed classes and long absences meant learning felt out of reach. She slipped to the bottom of her class and lost confidence.
But today, things look very different.
With support from World Vision child sponsors, Davith has access to trained teachers, a school library and a community reading club that’s helped her rediscover a love of learning. Her parents are building a stronger, more supportive home and Davith is thriving.
One day she wants to become a nurse, so she can help children in her community.
Davith is proof of what’s possible when children are supported to learn and thrive.
Because when a child’s life changes, communities change too.
And it all starts with children. 🧡
