NEW 👀 Are you new to Para fencing? Not sure what classification is all about in wheelchair fencing? What you can expect or have to do? Then our new, three-part video series on the basics of classification is for you! Developed by World Para Fencing, classifiers and professional animators, the videos centre around fictional athlete Chris Foil’s journey through the classification process which features a total of four stages. All parts of the video are geared towards giving potential athletes and countries an idea of what they can expect from the classification process from start to finish. This includes the medical documentation that is required, terminology you may come across, the personnel you will come into contact with, the layout of the classification room and waiting room, the exercises you may be asked to complete, how you may be observed during competition, and the equipment that you will need to bring and that which will be provided.
