12 years i've waited for this. Since my first triathlon in 2014, i've always felt inspired when i see people finish an Ironman and always wanted to be labelled with that M dot status as well. Triathlon has always been an escape for me, from all my troubles and traumas in life, it heals me mentally.
Completing this milestone has been an emotional one. Because along the way, i carried all the support from my friends, family and God. This journey has shown me who's always been by my side. Thank you!
The headwind and heat was unforgiving in Da Nang and i didn't manage to get my target of sub 5, but since it's my first 70.3 race and i'm the youngest male athlete, i'm still very happy. Pushed too hard on the bike and ran with toe blisters and cramps all over the legs. Nevertheless, 12th AG.
This race wasn't a swim, bike and run. It's definitely a PUSH, PEDAL and PRAY.
Swim - 29.31 3rd
Bike - 2.56.00 16th
Run - 2.13.54 12th
Lots of lessons learnt. I will get my sub 5 soon.
