April, Not so bad. Too cold for bees and too warm for snow. Got together with some dudes, ate a donut. Made some good food, paid others to make me better food. Has spring arrived yet or are we going to have windy 50 degree days every day until it’s suddenly 95?
Work continues on the Land Cruiser. I’m so fucking close now. I’ve been getting up way earlier than I usually do and going to the garage to chip away at the list, it’s kinda cathartic. Completely re-wired the starting and charging system. I’ve got this thing about excessive wires bolted to the positive battery cable and also about sloppy wiring harnesses. Sorted most of that shit out, also rebuild Toyotas absolute fucking horror show of a headlight harness. No more disconnecting the negative battery cable every time I park the truck in the garage either. I just want to drive around with the dog looking for quiet spots to explore.
I’m pretty excited for May. Nj next weekend, seems like everyone is going to grassroots. Bees are coming on the 17th all of which are headed to the bee yard in RI. Spring splits are going to happen a couple days beforehand. I need to build a new trail through the swamp, the old one didn’t make it through winter.

A Smattering of recent things, places, food…things. Some Land Cruiser stuff, a crab and a cock ring with a GT3. Treading water waiting for summer. I have to be in New Jersey in the beginning of May with the Land Cruiser because I decided maybe I should try and get into @grassroots_edition much to my surprise they called my bluff and accepted. Now I’ve gotta get my shit together and get the truck ready. My motivation is very low, I end up going to the garage and just sitting there looking at the truck, making a mess of things and trying to find some motivation to do anything.
Went to the first Donut meet of the year. Shout out to @revivalmotoring for getting me out to see some friends. Talked to @osakaflocka@dfunn@happy_hooder and @nvrez___ I should make more of an effort to hang out with people other than myself.
Bees are flying…I’ll open the hives this week and see how things are progressing. Saw a dandelion the other day which means swarm season is rapidly approaching. My tiny 3 hive apiary is about to triple in size once I start making splits. The guy in RI wants bees on his property again this year, so that’ll happen in May. I’m rambling…..

March….Low Country, Bees, Land Crusin, dog walkin. Long Weekend in Charleston is exactly where I needed to be. Land Cruiser is getting new power distribution. First hive inspection of 2026….100% survival. Life is pretty not bad. Warm weather is here and I’m about it.
New GR4 for all of these, this little pocket camera is absolutely perfect and goes with me everywhere now. Going to try to post more…..maybe

Finally got around to replacing all the suspension and swapping to a five speed into the land cruiser. Rebuilt, the transfer case, replaced a bunch of brake lines, removed and painted a bunch of parts that needed to be refinished, sealed up pretty gnarly oil leaks while I had it all apart, the end result is a truck that I hardly recognize. It rides smoother, is quieter, and is an overall pleasure to drive. I’ve wanted to do all this work for quite a long time, but didn’t really have the space in my garage to do it with the FD parked next to it. Over the course it last three months, I completely overhauled the underside of this truck. There was nothing left underneath it. Everything either got cleaned replaced or rebuilt. Oh and while all this was happening I adopted a dog. This is Sadie, and she’s fucking adorable.
Last Saturday, I spent the day in the garage with the dog, detailing the truck. I cut and buffed it, polished the chrome, clean the interior and touched up some areas that were concerning. This is the first photo I’ve taken of the truck in its current state. It needs a new set of wheels, bigger tires, and some interior work, but for now I’m happy with it. I also realized I don’t take nearly enough photos of my progress as I’m working. I need to address this.
I know Instagram doesn’t like photos anymore, and this is basically a video platform now. But I’m a stubborn photographer, not a videographer. Fuck you Zuck

Come with me as I harvest the first boxes of Honey for 2024. All my hives came out of winter super strong and have continued growing all spring. Today I pulled 7 honey supers off 4 of hives and spun out nearly 200 lbs of honey. Still another 8 boxes to go and Clethra is coming fast. I’ll be putting this all in jars and will have honey for sale in the coming weeks.
