In 2009, at COP15 in Copenhagen, our CEO and Founder Jens Nielsen, noticed something missing: business had no real seat at the table in global climate negotiations. So we built one. The first World Climate Summit launched in Cancún in 2010, alongside COP16 - backed by former Mexican President Felipe Calderón and CNN founder and UN philanthropist Ted Turner. It was one of the first platforms to bring governments, investors, and the private sector together around real climate solutions. Since then, we've spent 16+ years building a global network of transition frontrunners delivering real world outcomes - and today we stand as the world's leading platform for cross-sector collaboration on sustainability. We've always believed that sustainability isn't just an environmental imperative. It's an economic opportunity. But only if everyone moves together. In practise, that looks like: 💰$130B+ in green investment mobilised through our Climate Investment Coalition 🌎 Convening alongside every UNFCCC COP since 2010 We’re delivering the transition, together. On 19 May in São Paulo, investors, developers, and policymakers will come together for Brazil Climate Investment Week (BCIW). We’re proud to be an official partner of this event, which brings an integrated view of the forces shaping the climate transition—from critical minerals geopolitics to the role of global and domestic capital—and explores how to turn available capital into effective investments. #BCIW is co-organised by Capital for Climate, Converge Capital, the Institute for Climate and Society (iCS), and the Nature Investment Lab (NIL). BCIW contributes to the UNFCCC Global Climate Action Agenda under the Marrakech Partnership. Our Chief Impact Officer, Flora Bitancourt, will be there to connect and share insights on our work and opportunities. #WorldClimateFoundation #DeliveringTheTransition #BCIW2026

On 25 June 2026, the World Climate Investment Summit (WCIS) returns for its sixth edition in partnership with LSEG. WCIS is the finance-focused anchor of London Climate Action Week, convening over 250 of the world’s leading investors, financial institutions, corporates and policymakers. This year, the summit is focused on a defining question: As geopolitical shifts, regulatory change and escalating climate risks reshape global markets - where does capital go next, and who decides? The 2026 agenda is designed to answer that question with clarity and direction. It spans the full investment landscape: 🔌 Energy systems, AI infrastructure and industrial transformation 🌱 Nature markets, biodiversity finance and resilience infrastructure 💵 Capital flows to the Global South 🌐 Curated roundtables on blended finance, critical minerals and regenerative agriculture #WCIS2026 sits at the centre of the global roadmap to #COP31. The outcomes won’t stay in the room — they will help shape the future of climate investment. 💡 Learn more at the link in our bio. #WorldClimateFoundation #DeliveringTheTransition #WCIS2026 #LCAW2026

Today is @earthdaynetwork and this year’s theme, “Our Power, Our Planet”, is a reminder of something we see every day: Progress doesn’t happen in isolation - it happens when people move together. The signals are mixed, but in 2025, wind and solar generated around 15% of global electricity, while policy uncertainty continued to test environmental progress. But what matters more is this: the transition is no longer driven by single actors. It is being shaped and sustained by networks. Our role is to bring those networks into focus and into action. Because when investors, policymakers, companies and practitioners align, ambition becomes executable. Our Coalitions are built on this principle: 🌿 Climate Investment Coalition mobilises institutional capital at scale into clean energy. 🌳 Nature Investment Coalition unlocks investment into biodiversity and natural capital. 🏭 Future of Mining Coalition aligns capital, buyers, and policy to accelerate responsible mineral supply at scale. 🌽 Future of Food Coalition accelerates the shift to regenerative and low-emission food systems 🔌 Future of Energy Coalition connects the full energy value chain to deliver the transition Individually, progress can stall. Collectively, it compounds. This is the power behind the transition, and it’s what we’re continuing to scale as we move towards @turkiyecop31 . #WorldClimateFoundation #DeliveringTheTransition #EarthDay2026 #OurPowerOurPlanet #COP31

Nature needs $700 billion a year to effectively protect and restore nature, and we're currently mobilising only a fraction of that. The gap isn't just financial - it's a credibility problem. At the World Climate Summit & The Investment COP in Belém, we spoke with Dr. Tsai Ming-Jer from the Experimental Forest at the National Taiwan University (NTUEF) about what it takes to build nature finance systems that are both credible and inclusive. 💡 Dr. Tsai was direct. He explained how integrity depends on three things: science, governance and transparency. The need for solid data is important, now more than ever. Through the Asian Biodiversity Credit Alliance (ABCA), a coalition composed of universities spanning the whole Asia-Pacific region, partners are developing harmonised biodiversity credit standards rooted in transparent data and local participation. The shared goal is to ensure nature finance that delivers real outcomes and not just market activity. George Hu, Asia Regional Representative at WCF, documented exactly how this is unfolding across the region in the article: “Asia is Shaping the Future of Biodiversity Markets: Inside a New Chapter for Global Nature Finance”. NTUEF brings 120 years of ecological data in aid of the challenge. The business’ science-based methodology translates complex biodiversity indicators into verifiable, investment-ready metrics – demonstrating that Asia is not waiting for a global direction; it’s helping provide it. 📖🎥 Read the full article and watch Dr. Tsai’s Interview on our website. One thing is clear: the future of nature finance is not greener talk. It’s measurable science-based action. #WorldClimateFoundation #WorldClimateSummit #DeliveringTheTransition

I keep coming back to the same question: Why is climate adaptation still difficult to fund when the need and the opportunity are so obvious? I'm in Washington DC for the 2026 Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and The World Bank Group. On 15 April, I'm moderating a discussion co-hosted by the @gatesfoundation and the Investment Mobilisation Collaboration Alliance (IMCA). 🗓️15:30-17:00 EST 📍 Gates Foundation (1300 I St), Washington, DC What’s becoming clear is this: adaptation doesn’t stall because of a lack of ideas - it stalls because capital isn’t structured to move where it’s needed most. At the same time, we’re starting to see a shift. Adaptation is not just a resilience play - it’s part of the transition economy: 🔵 Strengthening supply chains and protecting assets 🔵 Opening new markets in climate-resilient infrastructure and services 🔵 Reducing long-term risk for both public and private capital But unlocking that requires a different approach. Projects need earlier support, and risk needs to be shared differently. Capital - philanthropic, public, private - needs to work together, not in sequence. When that happens, the outcomes are tangible: 🔵 Stronger, investable pipelines in vulnerable markets 🔵 Faster movement from concept to implementation 🔵 Capital reaching the places where resilience and growth go hand in hand Through the work at World Climate Foundation, and alongside partners in IMCA, we’re starting to see what’s possible when collaboration is designed around outcomes. The opportunity now is to move faster and with more intent. I’m looking forward to the discussion on how we make adaptation finance work at scale - as both a development priority and a business imperative. #WorldClimateFoundation #DeliveringTheTransition #IMCA

Brazil has lost nearly 2.9 million hectares of natural areas every year for the past 40 years. That’s 111.7 million hectares in total, an area larger than Bolivia. @grupoboticario and the @fundacaogrupoboticario are actively protecting and restoring more than 11,000 hectares of forests and reserves in Brazil, and over 1,800 projects are helping communities and ecosystems thrive. This is proof that business growth and biodiversity protection can go hand in hand. At the World Climate Summit & The Investment COP in Belém, we had a conversation with leaders from Grupo Boticário and the Foundation. This is what they said. 🎤 Luiz Meyer, Head of Sustainability at Grupo Boticário, outlined how sustainability is embedded in the company’s DNA, with long-term conservation targets, active protection of reserves and initiatives like Viva Água supporting river basin conservation and community development. 🎤 André Ferretti, Senior Manager of Biodiversity Economics at the Grupo Boticário Foundation, shared how another initiative, Plataforma NaturezaOn, maps climate risks, identifies effective nature-based solutions, and links actions to the SDGs, while helping municipalities, companies and communities implement impactful projects. With thousands of stores, suppliers and employees, Grupo Boticário proves that ambitious environmental and social goals can scale alongside business success. Watch the full conversation on our website. When companies put sustainability at the heart of strategy, we can protect nature and build resilient, impactful businesses. #WorldClimateFoundation #WorldClimateSummit #DeliveringTheTransition

What does it take to make climate adaptation investable at scale? Climate adaptation in Europe hasn’t slowed down due to the lack of ideas, but because of the limited access to financing that’s needed to scale them. This adaptation finance gap is exactly what CLIMATEFIT_HEU is tackling. As public budget alone is not enough, CLIMATEFIT acts where it matters the most: connecting public authorities with the financial sector to turn ideas into investable adaptation projects. 🔎 How does CLIMATEFIT work? Through applied research and cross-sector collaboration, CLIMATEFIT develops investment plans and innovative adaptation finance mechanisms, tested and demonstrated across Eastern, Southern and Northwestern Europe. 🤝 Who are the partners? CLIMATEFIT brings together a 32-member European consortium of financial and investment entities, public authorities, and local resilience taskforces. The consortium is supported by advisory experts and adaptation finance champions. 🎯 What are CLIMATEFIT's key achievements? By December 2026, CLIMATEFIT aims to deliver 20 investment strategies and 10 scalable investment plans. These deliverables demonstrate CLIMATEFIT's innovative adaptation finance mechanism that will help bridge Europe's adaptation finance gap. CLIMATEFIT is an example of how aligning public needs with financial capacity can accelerate climate adaptation where it’s most urgently needed. 🚩 Find out more about CLIMATEFIT on our website. #WorldClimateFoundation #DeliveringTheTransition #ClimateFit
