ACADIR Angola is transforming one of Africaâs last wild frontiers from a battlefield into a sanctuary. Operating in the high-stakes Kavango-Zambezi (KAZA) landscape, they turn "poachers into protectors" by proving that human dignity and wildlife survival are inseparable. â
â
Through community-based natural resource management, theyâve nearly doubled elephant populations in Luengue-Luiana National Park while securing critical headwaters that feed the entire Okavango Delta. â
â
ACADIR encourages community stewardship to block illegal resource extraction and industrial overreach, ensuring the indigenous guardians of Angola are the ones who profit from its protection.â

We are losing the race to protect and restore the environment. â
â
Weâre already at 1.5°C, the limit set by the Paris Agreementâyears ahead of schedule. We are reaching catastrophic and irreversible tipping points of climate change.â
â
Coral reefs are dying. Greenland is currently losing 30 million tons of ice every hour. We are on the brink of collapse.â
â
Our Staff Giving partners ACADIR, AfES, Contour Lines, DESPRI DR, and Green Forests Work are doing critical community-based work to protect and restore the planet. They don't have a minute to spare. â

â
Every Day Action is doing critical work across Los Angeles by safely rescuing surplus catered meals from TV and film sets, grocery stores, corporate events, and festivals. They then deliver that food directly to unhoused and under-resourced communities facing food insecurity.â
â
This org is helping set a new standard for reducing food waste in the entertainment industry, and we're so happy to help support their work.
WeCount! is an immigrant-led resistance in South Florida, organizing essential workersâfarmworkers, day laborers, and domestic workersâwho are the backbone of the economy but the first targets of state overreach. They build collective power to win high-stakes battles for labor protections, fair wages, and climate justice. â
â
From launching the "Planting Justice" campaign to transform the exploitative houseplant industry to defying "anti-sanctuary" laws, WeCount turns marginalized voices into an organized front that demands dignity and refuses to be pushed into the shadows.â

Great food brings people together, and so does a shared commitment to sustainability. đâ
â
We loved being part of the Baldor BITE event and proud to sponsor a gathering that celebrated innovation, community, and the future of foodservice.â
â
From chefs and distributors to sustainability advocates, it was inspiring to connect with so many people working to build a more thoughtful and less wasteful food system.
It's International Compost Awareness Week, and weâre celebrating the power of art to inspire action. đ âťď¸â
â
We caught up with artist Endurance Oye, this year's ICAW's poster contest winner. Endurance reminds us that there is beauty in reassembly, and composting can be one of its most powerful forms. â
â
More than waste diversion, composting returns nutrients to the earth, reduces methane emissions, and helps build a healthier future for our communities and planet.â

Freedom for Immigrants is an immigrant-led, abolitionist organization dedicated to dismantling the profit-driven immigration detention system. Operating as the eyes and ears, they run a national hotline and a volunteer visitation program that breaks the isolation of those behind bars to document and expose systemic abuse. By funding bonds to secure immediate release and scaling community-based alternatives, they donât just fight to humanize the cageâthey fight to eliminate it entirely.â

When the rule of law is tested, advocacy becomes the last line of defense.â
â
Immigration enforcement has undergone a historic transformation and itâs an unjust one. ICE and CBP activity has reached unprecedented levels, often operating with little transparency or accountability.â
â
As of February 2026, over 68,000 individuals are held in ICE detentionâthe highest level in U.S. history. In-custody deaths are also skyrocketing with zero accountability.â
â
The crisis in our communities has reached a breaking point. We are proud to stand with @migrantfreedom , @migrantjustice , @lgbtasylumproject , @oaklandbloom and @wecount_fl . These organizations provide more than servicesâthey fighting systemic overreach and defending their communities. They are the line of defense.â

This year, the World Centric staff directed $224,000 to 16 nonprofits addressing the root causes of inequality. Some of that work is happening on the other side of the world. Some of it is happening in the fields, courtrooms, and detention centers outside the window from where you're reading this right now.â
â

A nonprofit here in the Bay Area, @farminghope provides culinary job training for people overcoming obstacles such as former incarceration or homelessness.â
â
If we want safer, healthier communities, we have to make room for second chances. Employment shouldnât be one of the biggest barriers people face after incarceration. Everyone deserves a path forward.â
â
Our most recent in-kind product donation provided Farming Hope with the containers necessary to pack 3,300 meals to provide nutritious meals to people incarcerated in San Francisco this past November. â
â
We are grateful to be able to support the work they do in our community.
Food insecurity in the US affects 1 in 7 people. In one of the wealthiest countries in the world, no one should have to choose between paying rent and putting food on the table.â
