Todua Stops Traya, Zak Wins First Title In Tblisi. On Saturday May 2 in Tblisi, Georgia, two World Boxing Federation (WBF) championship fights topped a bill at the New Olympic Sports Palace. WBF Interim world Middleweight champion Givi Todua showed his class when he stopped brave but outgunned Filipino Elmo Traya in the second round. It was a statement performance from Todua, who improved his undefeated record to 7-0 (5). Traya travels home at 16-7 (11). The ceiling is very high for Todua, only 21 years old and a pro for less than two years, who is hoping to clash with Kazakhstan´s full WBF world champion Viktor Temirov in the near future. Israeli Yan “Terminator” Zak was successful in his first pro title bout when he captured the vacant WBF International Cruiserweight belt. With his fourth fight in Georgia, Zak (26) took his record to 7-0 (5) when he stopped Arshdeep Singh Batth, now 11-3 (9) in five rounds. #worldboxingfederation #WBF #boxing #boxeo #boxe #boxen #boksz

Todua vs. Treya WBF Interim Middleweight Title Fight. On May 2 in Tbilisi, Georgia, World Boxing Federation (WBF) interim world Middleweight champion Givi Todua will put his title on the line against Elmo Treya from the Philippines. Todua, 6-0 (4), won the title last September when he stopped Thailand´s Phumiritdet Chonlathondamrongkhun in six rounds. Still only 21 years old, the Georgian hero will take on his best opponent to date in Treya, who brings a 16-6 (11) record and is a former Asian Boxing Federation champion. Having boxed all over the world in an accomplished amateur career, Todua turned professional in the summer of 2024 and is well on his way to establishing himself as the main boxing star in his country. Treya, although still only 31 years of age, is a veteran with thirteen years of pro experience, and will not be fazed by going into his opponents back yard. #worldboxingfederation #WBF #boxing #boxeo #boxe #boxen #boksz

Former World Champ Nozipho Bell Returns In WBF Intercontinental Clash. Nozipho Bell, the former World Boxing Federation (WBF) world Featherweight champion, returns on April 28 in Gquberha, South Africa, fighting for the vacant WBF Intercontinental Light Welterweight title. Bell, 15-5-1 (5), will take on experienced Namibian-born Zimbabwean Chiedza Homakoma, 8-9-3 (4) on a show staged by Mbali Zantsi. 36-year-old Bell has been a top contender for most of her career, and besides winning the WBF world title in 2019 she has also challenged for WBO and IBO world titles abroad. Also a former South African national champion and IBF Intercontinental titlist at Super Featherweight, she has now decided to move to Light Welter in pursuit of eventually becoming a world champion again. “The Queen Tiger” Homakoma (32) always comes to fight, and after facing some of the best boxers Africa has to offer, she is motivated to upset the favourite. Beating a former world champion and established name such as Bell would be a major breakthrough for her career, while Bell cant afford to lose if she is to regain former glory. #worldboxingfederation #WBF #boxing #boxeo #boxe #boxen #boksz
