Our new song Kid Martyr For Science is out! link in my bio- It’s about the rise of American fascism and the loss that comes when people you once held affection for become radicalized.
It’s about the contrarians I knew as a kid who reveled in indignation- the unfortunate popularity of those who practice this behavior on a public stage today, and the unsustainable trend of celebrating cruelty and bad faith.
I wrote it during the January 6th insurrection, during a Covid lockdown in Toronto, while trying to make sense of the events. Then I brought it to my amazing band and like always they made it way better. We recorded it in the same session as Everything Goes, and they will both be on our next record estuaries.

Everything Goes is an explosive indie-rock song about finding meaning and hope in the relentlessness of change and the inevitability of death. We put out an EP and I'm blown away but what we've made. Usman and I have been trying to make music since our first year at York but for one reason or another it never worked. During covid he invited me to start something and we went into a rehearsal space to play early versions of Notes2dolist and Who's Amy Gdala?
It took a while but when Karmah joined it just clicked. We prepped the songs on the EP for 8 months before we started recording or playing. When Michael joined it felt real.
This band is all that kept me from moving back home because I feel like this is something special. Getting to work with talented friends and meeting people who have lent their talent to this little thing we have going on has been amazing.
I love these 3 people and what we do and this band really completes me.
