Local writer Masha Shukovich is coming to the studio to lead our first-ever poetry-writing workshop! Weâll combine poetic expression and prompt-based writing, centered around a leisurely walk through the neighborhood. Observing small moments of beauty along the way, youâll gather a collection of ordinary enchantments and weave them into several finished pieces.

Weâre headed back to @melancholyslc for our diSTILLed Life painting series, where youâll learn to capture the essence of a classic cocktail of your choice. This month weâll be using acrylics with a limited color palette to take your art in a surprising new direction.
Weâll have all the materials you need, templates of different glassware, and a teacher on hand to help guide you along the way.
We canât wait to host local artist @mattgreen.art in the studio for his upcoming abstract painting workshop. Weâre going to dive into color and composition, learning how to intentionally place color to create balance and guide the viewerâs eye.
Itâs going to be two days of fun, hands-on exercises with plenty of individual guidance and advice, and by the end, youâll walk away with your own large abstract painting.

Dive into the fundamentals of porcelain in our upcoming workshop on May 1 & 3, where youâll throw a variety of forms and learn how to trim them to translucency. Youâll leave with a small collection of pieces and the confidence to continue exploring porcelain in your own ceramic practice.
