Something I love in design and architecture is the perpetual curiosity and sense of wonder in the unknown. It is in nature, I find the same sense of inspirations and awe where life flows.

At the end of Women’s History Month 2026, I have been thinking of My Mother, who is the strongest person I know on earth, as well as the first and foremost example of a modern woman to me. And My Auntie, who is another strong innerwork wise woman.
Ever since I could remember as a toddler, my mom has always held a significant career in International Trade and Accounting. my mom has broken the greatest barriers being the breadwinner in the second half of our upbringing, subverting male-dominated Taiwanese values she was raised in; while holding an unwavering dedication towards her children’s education, mindset, and values. Mommy has inspired me in many ways - her sense of resourcefulness and organization in running a household while tirelessly raising three accomplished children; her kind consideration towards those in need in the community (she had me bring extra lunches to a classmate whose parents were not present in middle school); her significant dedication to her children’s education (my and my siblings’ bilingual education from age 5, all the SAT classes in high school, afterschool programs). Growing up I took so much of what my mom does for granted.. while I also wondered how she made it all happen juggling work and home. My Mom was the first example who defied all the outdated projections in her environment and rocked as a modern mother and stellar professional.
At the end of Women’s History Month, I also have been thinking of My Auntie, who is the wisest, most adaptable, and self aware woman I have had the privilege to grow up with. My Auntie has gifted me the patience and space to share my thoughts that cultivated independent thinking in a young woman; she is the best example in holding healthy boundaries alongside compassion towards those around. My Auntie has taught me a strong sense of teamwork, diplomacy, and support, while looking within for power through challenges.
Without my mom and my auntie, I wouldn’t have the opportunity and courage I have today. Both have taught me to Be Brave. Thank you, Super Moms.

As our first project is wrapping up construction, we want to share some inspirations in design and life lately.
Here is one of my favorite projects by a friend Guzy Architects. I stumbled upon Peter Guzy’s work - in Philadelphia as a Masters student. It inspired me to connect with Peter Guzy in person later in New York and discovered our mutual Swiss journeys in Zürich and Basel. What I love in great architecture and space is the timeless nature and its capacity in healing and abstract thinking.
Some thoughts embarked upon recently as an AAPI woman-operated design studio. People talk about leaving a legacy. Here is the truth: The legacy isn’t the money, the title, or the house you leave behind.
It is how you made people feel and how you owned or took responsibilities for mistakes. Did you inspire? Did you encourage? Did you uplift? Did you hold integrity when it was inconvenient?
That’s what is remembered forever.
