Inspiration is a variable, consistency is not. Don’t dwell on the friction of the day and fixate on the excuse. See you on the mats.

True progress stems from consistent daily discipline, not occasional bursts of effort. By embracing the mindset of the perpetual student you transform every challenge into a lesson and every routine into a foundation for growth.
“The eyes of others our prisons; their thoughts our cages.” Virgina Woolf
Perhaps the thought has cross your mind that this may be too difficult for you, or that you shouldn’t try because you aren’t capable of it. As we sit scrolling through those presented lives, offered glories, and feigned failures, our self-doubt undoubtedly creeps and grows. Would they judge us for failing?
It will be difficult and you will fail but the prison of their eyes and thoughts that make your cage are nothing but a self imposed exile for your freedom and exploration of your capabilities.

The unknown is one thing that restricts us from acting freely. “What will they think of me? How do I look? What happens if I make changes and fail? What happens if I put in all this work and I lose? What happens if they don’t like my post?” A difficult truth is very few people care about your fears or your thoughts. The only thing that matters is correct action. Motivational videos can only fuel you so much. Highlight reels can only inspire you for a limited period of time. Ultimately the work that is put in will determine your performance but not your success because for that there is no guarantee. When the bell has rung and the clock has run out, the process up to that moment will be the determiner of your success regardless of the victor. Therefore love the process and ignore the rest.
Amazing sweep by Hanne! 🧹

“Winning is an outcome that everyone who competes wants. This is an indisputable fact. Yet regardless of our desire for victory, it is never an outcome desire alone can give us.
Forget for a moment the podiums, belts, and cheers for hidden in plain sight is how victories are won. It is the calm that sits in the middle of your anxiety. It is the belief and knowledge that you have done as much as you could. After all the only thing that matters is the realization that an outcome is a product of your efforts. Focus therefore on what you can do and the outcome, win or lose will always be one that you can learn from. “ - @workshop.nyc

“Muay Thai gives me control - it shows me that my life is in my hands - day in and day out I am responsible for it, inside and outside of the sport. There is an indescribable feeling about it, when you can push through and become more. I want to be better. It gives me deep satisfaction to prove people wrong.”
Congratulations to Fatima, who is now 8-0 and the Warriors Cup Super Bantamweight Champion. Fatima’s performance showcased her laser focus, clean technique, and physical power, winning by unanimous decision. We eagerly anticipate her next fight!💥

We had a great weekend with Fatima coming home with the Warriors Cup Super Bantam Weight belt and Jesse taking Double Gold at the IBJJF New Jersey Open.

Fatima had an incredible fight camp coming into this weekend with a focus and discipline that surpassed our expectations. Needless to say we are extremely proud of her efforts. The technical and physical improvements she has made since her last foray into the ring was something we conciously worked on and it was reflected by her performance. Fatima decisively won every round en route to an unanimous decision. We are looking forward to her next one. She is now 8 - 0 and is the Warriors Cup Super Bantamweight Champion.
Jesse is a father of two and one of the most consistent and hardest working members we have on the mats. His focus on improvement and dedication to showing up all the while managing a graduate program, job, and two children is truly something else. His double Gold this weekend is a reflection of his efforts and steadfastness.
Thank you to our Coaches, Team, Friends, and Family members this weekend for their support and cheers.
