Away With Fregz 👨🏽‍🍳 I wasn’t really there to shoot this just catching moments whenever I could step away. Something about the pace of the kitchen, everything happening at once, made me want to document it. More on workseun.com 💫

At Home With Anukis 🎨. What began as portraits became a paint-and-conversation afternoon. Studios have been on my mind lately, the way they hold work and home in the same space. It’s live on workseun.com [link in bio]

This isn’t a recap. It’s more of a pause. A year of shooting, talking, learning, and figuring things out as I went. I wrote it down here: In Progress (’25) workseun.com

THE OFF SEASON 001 This was the first version of the project I ever made. Before clarity or confidence. What started as confusion slowly became language. It’s strange to end a chapter where it all began, but maybe that’s the most honest way to close it. I’m ending this so I can make room for the next series that’s unfolding. I’ve archived the full project on my site not as a polished piece, but a portrait of becoming. If you want to see the beginning for yourself, link in bio.

Seun’s Journal: Talking and Exploring Took a walk through Acton and Park Royal with Joanna and her Talking and Exploring group, camera in hand and curiosity leading the way. I’m super grateful to Joanna for having me on another walk through Acton and Park Royal. Loved seeing how she brings people together, highlighting historical landmarks, sharing stories, spotlighting local creatives, and showing love to the business owners shaping the area. I had my old point-and-shoot with me again, it’s been with me for most of this series. There’s something about that camera that makes me slow down and just look. The focus misses sometimes, the grain does its own thing, but that’s part of the charm. Didn’t capture everything, but maybe that’s okay. Some days it’s less about documenting and more about being there; walking, talking, taking the experience in and noticing what lingers after.

Just a few pictures from our yesterday celebration of the Black History Month 2025 in North Acton and Park Royal. Over twenty people joined us at North Acton Square and after a short introduction, we walked through Acton Cemetery to stop at the grave of Sir Samuel Lewis, a son of freed slaves brought back to Africa, educated in England eminent lawyer and activist, first Mayor of Freetown in Sierra Leone and the first West African to be knighted by Queen Victoria. Sheltered from the road traffic, we went on to introduce an eminent Actonian from Guyana, John Barbour James, a clerk and activist, and his activist daughter Amy Barbour James. Before we left the green oasis, I invited Seun Osipitian @workseun to tell us his story and then we walked on along Park Royal Road, taking the stairs towards Sunbeam Road to hear and share more stories. A person who used to work in the area many years ago was really impressed to see how the area has improved since the @oldoakparkroyal started to oversee the redevelopment. Our first host was Cynthia Grafton-Holt of Cynthia Grafton-Holt Couture, a designer of bespoke wedding gowns. We were truly touched by her story and impressed how talented, hard-working and humble this woman of Jamaican parents was. When Cynthia said that she doesn’t feel she fully belongs here in Britain and nor does she feel at home in Jamaica, I could identify with her, but that’s a topic for another story. Not all the people who took my invitation to feature in this project could be at their studios on the day. Thus, they sent me their stories which I had printed for the day and then, saving my delicate autumnal voice, asked participants to read them near their studios. They took turns reading about Rashida of @RashidaPatisserie and @8_strikes_corner , and I told them about Camilla Camus – Doughan @_ccd_art_services - art conservator specializing in the conservation of paper artworks and pieces. Visiting Wayne of @fashtagclothing , @talkingandexploring1 and I could collect our brand new branded tops! Great to offer such experience when collaborating with @gosad_uk and @ealingcouncil ! As I'm reaching the word limit, I'll continue in the comments, OK?
