ANNOUNCEMENT!
A message from Susan Woodcock
I am pleased to share that Workroom Tech has been sold to Jonathan Bennett, owner of Unsprung Upholstery Company @unsprungupholstery and Unsprung University, and the school is moving to Richmond, Virginia in July of this year. Jonathan is passionate about education and creating opportunities for the upholstery and drapery workroom trades. With his background in education, business ownership and teaching, he will carry on the tradition of hands-on learning in a new and bigger way.
The new location is in a much larger facility that includes classroom space and an upholstery and sewing business under the same roof. This will give Workroom Tech students a realistic view of a workroom business and enable future apprenticeship programs. Jonathan has a great team of employees and talented local workroom owners who can teach and mentor students.
We are extremely grateful for the Workroom Tech students, teachers, and the companies and organizations who have supported our mission for the past 9 years. I will remain onboard to help with the transition and to teach . Rodger and I will continue to own Custom Workroom Conference and our Home Dec Gal workroom business. We are looking forward to this next chapter in our lives and excited for the workroom industry. The future is bright!
Best wishes,
Susan
