You lucky, lucky lot. We've managed to organise a walk with the Columbia Sportswear, led by none other than Sam from @peaksandpubs
We've also made a tee to celebrate the event, but this is NOT for sale. There'll be a giveaway of these on the day - we can't promise everyone will get their hands on one!
We're meeting on Saturday, 6th June at our Ulverston store around 12:30 pm, then we'll set off at 1 pm and end back up with a pint in hand, roughly around 4 pm.
Looking forward to seeing some faces there - we're all buzzing for this one!!
To attend this event, you must have a ticket to take part. Tickets are free, but spaces are limited.

Event reminder!
As part of our 20th birthday celebrations, we've joined forces with the Columbia Sportswear and @peaksandpubs to create a 10k walking event, finishing in our Ulverston store for beers.

They really don’t want non-hikers fucking with this one.
Approach shoes this, approach shoes that. The weird little outlier in hiking brand catalogues is suddenly becoming centre stage and if you’re not familiar with La Sportiva yet, you probably will be soon.
Shoes like the XT-ALP from Salomon are probably the most recognisable examples of approach shoes. But what actually is an approach shoe? They’re designed for hikers and climbers navigating technical terrain safely.
Imagine you and your mates tackling Crib Goch in Snowdonia. Appropriate there? Absolutely.
Me? I enjoy a 3-mile walk on a slight incline to the Co-Op for a vape and somehow I still think I’m valid wearing them. People will disagree but I can and will.
La Sportiva aren’t Salomon and they’re not trying to be. But maybe they should be getting the same level of attention because the product is genuinely that good. No massive collaborations. No gimmicks. No confetti. Just proper sensibilities which feel completely missing from most footwear right now.
I’ll admit it does feel a little like stolen valour but fuck it. Look at the shoes in this carousel alone. La Sportiva make a great-looking shoe and if they’re good enough for Ralph Lauren, who am I to argue?
