"Doing a Workaway with my partner for the first time was so much better than expected! Luckily, lots of hosts accept couples, and we found a wellness space in Sri Lanka looking for yoga teachers to help with the classes and shala. I already had some teaching experience, but doing it daily in this new setting was a different and amazing opportunity to do something new, exciting, and a little challenging. And it ended up being so rewarding too!
A one-month Workaway really does allow you to settle in, too. We made new friends, found favourite local restaurants, had plenty of time to explore the surrounding area, try surfing, and actually feel the place rather than just pass through it.
