I got a book of poetry called Rocket Fantastic for Christmas. This morning I flipped to a page and read one titled The Sun Got All Over It. It was the right one to read for the little moment between requests for snacks. It’s about grieving the loss of a parent but it’s also about meaning to be sad but then the day becomes too beautiful and you just forget to be sad and you have to make a note to grieve another day. This felt very 2025 to me. It was a real sh&t show but there were also beautiful days that pulled me into the present and that felt good. Workaday managed to make some pieces that really turned out and I’m proud of that. Thank you to everyone who picked up a piece in 2025. I am so grateful. Looking forward to making more and sharing them with you.
