Students from Ponoka Secondary Trades Exploration class toured the West Fraser Laminated Veneer Lumber Mill in Rocky Mountain House this week. Students got to hear about trades career pathways from forestry professionals and see how LVL is made!
We had a fantastic time engaging with our next leaders in forestry at @insideeducation ’s Regenerate conference in Canmore this past weekend!🌲⚡️
We hosted our workshop as students took on our Forest Planning Challenge to get a taste of what it’s like to coordinate with other stakeholders to sustainably manage a forest. Students then stopped by our roundtable to explore more about what forestry careers have to offer.
Teachers and students! Keep your eye out for the next Regenerate summit, and don’t miss out on this inspiring and insightful weekend.
