A great start to the week with @necouncil and Senator Jack Reed at the @omniprovidence . The Senator gave a great update on what is happening in Washington. Advocacy is a top priority and we are proud to represent individuals with disabilities in Rhode Island.

🎉 Exciting news! WCVB 5 For Good broadcast news coverage of our Boston delivery! A semi-truck full of food (35,000 lbs) rolled into Work Inc in Dorchester Friday morning as part of the America250 initiative, bringing much-needed relief to the Mary Ann Brett Food Pantry. Local community leaders-Brian Hurley from State Sen. Nick Collins office, Jim and Patty Brett of the Mary Ann Brett Food Pantry, Andrea Cook from WORK Inc., and representatives from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with remarks from Michael Thomas, and JustServe.org welcomed the truck and shared a few words about fighting food insecurity and the power of community service. This delivery is the first of three America250 food trucks coming to Massachusetts in 2026, which is part of a nationwide effort delivering 250 truckloads of food (35,000–40,000 pounds each!) to food banks in all 50 states! Each truck load helps feed about 1,400 people. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and JustServe.org are proud to partner with America250 to celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday and make 2026 an extraordinary year of giving and serving. The truck was wrapped in beautiful signage highlighting this collaboration. We’re so grateful for this partnership with the Mary Ann Brett Food Pantry and WORK Inc., organizations that serve Dorchester families every single day. Looking ahead: In June, in collaboration with Jonathan Tetrault of Catholic Charities Boston and Elder Mark V. Scott of the Azusa Christian Community we will partner again with TWO more America250 truck deliveries, timed to acknowledge Juneteenth and celebrate America’s 250th birthday with even more food relief for local families. Volunteering makes it all possible! Find service opportunities near you at JustServe.org and help make 2026 the biggest year of service in U.S. history. 🇺🇸 #America250 #JustServe #DorchesterStrong

What an amazing day! Yesterday our team in Fitchburg paired up with @humankindcasting for Beauty has NO limits. Beauty Has No Limits photo clinics align with goals of independence and inclusion, offering a tangible, joyful experience that amplifies both personal identity and collective representation. The clinic offers 15 minute photo sessions to build confidence and provide professional photos that can be used in social media, resumes, or personal information cards. Professional hair and makeup artists will be on site to help prep our models for the camera. A huge thank you to students from @fitchburgstate for assisting with the shoot and making the individuals day incredible.
