Beyond general prayers and family devotions, teach your children to have their own quiet time with God. Theyâll learn the discipline of studying the Word even when their bodies donât feel like it and theyâll begin to build intimacy with God. He wants to have a personal relationship with them and speak to them too. Let them have their moment with God, the Holy Spirit can reach them at whatever level theyâre at but you as the parent must do your part to guide them in that direction.
The earlier you begin, the better. Start today!

BONDING is such an important part of raising a healthy child. Many times itâs over looked or just not done intentionally or consistently. Parents, make time to bond with your children, and beyond getting to know them, let them really get to know you too, that way theyâll be more receptive and appreciative of how youâre raising them up for Christ!

Have a wonderful time at church today! Kids are never too young to be part of whatâs going on in church. Encourage yours to do so, thatâs how they learn to have a heart of service to God from an early age. Donât keep them away from Sunday school, let them learn at their level and be part of everything going on.

The goal is for them to know, genuinely love and have a personal relationship with God for themselves but that starts with you as a parent or carer. Youâre called to âTrainâ your kids. If you really put things in the right perspective, the kingdom perspective, youâll understand how important it is to be very intentional and do ALL you can proactively to ensure they choose to live for Christ.

Sometimes children can be fearful, of situations, people, or just wild imaginations because of what theyâve seen, heard or been exposed to. Reassure them with the Word of God and let them know they are safe because God is always watching over them. NEVER use fear to enforce discipline! You canât tell them a âmonsterâ will get them if they donât eat their meal then try to teach them not to be afraid!
Be mindful of what you expose them to- cartoons, movies, books and even music.
Be intentional, proactively and consistent.

Beyond nice affirmations, teach them Godâs word so theyâre equipped as they go into the world without you. Always speak over your kids before they leave for school. Cover them in prayer, speak a blessing over them.
