Victoria Monet’s ‘Alright’ - Dance Visual by Woosie
Last year Victoria Monet (
@victoriamonet ) released Jaguar II on my birthday and in November I got to see her live. After seeing her live, I fell deeper in love with her latest album, especially her song ‘Alright’. When thinking about the type of projects I wanted to take on in my final year I thought about challenging myself by creating my own dance visual despite having no experience and confidence in choreographing and doing pre production work as i’m a video editor… I never believed I’d be in this position right now sharing this project with everyone. I’m so thankful to be surrounded by so many creative and talented dancers who were open to my ideas and a crew that supported me and helped me make decisions along the way that resulted in this video. It really wasn’t easy, doing this project made me encounter a lot of obstacles but I learned so much along the way and now know I’m very capable. Thank you Victoria Monet for releasing a song that was so good it made me get out my comfort zone !!
