1984 Rookie season. MJ laces up black and red on an NBA court and the league hits him with a $5,000 fine every time he steps on the floor. Nike paid it every single time without blinking. That fine became a legend. That colorway became the most iconic sneaker story ever told.

The Air Jordan 5 Retro OG “White Metallics” Tinker Hatfield drew this one up in 1990 straight for MJ’s love for fighter jets.
White leather upper, Metallic Silver details, bump out collar, and that iced outsole with Nike Air on the heel. This is the OG build, just Nike Air. Thirty five years and not a single thing needed to change.
