With the slogan “We are all YPJ, YPJ is our existence”, Kongreya Star, in coordination with the Women’s Council of Democratic Islam and the Women’s Defense Units (YPJ), held a discussion seminar in support of the YPJ, which was attended by many women and social and political figures.
The seminar participants stated that the Women’s Defense Units played a fundamental role in the fight against ISIS and the protection of the peoples of the region, and the sacrifices of female fighters showed that women can protect their communities and stand against terror and war.
The seminar emphasized the need for the YPJ to be recognized as a legitimate military force, for women’s will and struggle to be respected, and for its role in society, politics, and legitimate defense to be recognized.
