"Life Without Credit" (חיים ללא כיסוי) Sometimes, an opportunity comes along that provides a chance to prove yourself as a professional, even if it is not obvious straight away. "Life Without Credit" turned out to be such a project for me. Back in 2022, being practically a beginner in the film industry, I was given the chance to transform Dana Ivgy's features for her character of Libby. After numerous trials and tests, we finally achieved Tom Shoval's vision to come to life. A vision, for which I am now honoured to be nominated for this year's @israelfilmacademy Ophir prize for Best Makeup. Another post will be written about the technicalities of the prosthetic makeup at a later date, so now I would like to take this opportunity to thank the following; @ronitdugo for recommending me in the first place for this project... @tom.shoval for his genius artistic vision, without whom, of course, the movie would not have been made. All the crew and their high professionalism, which made hard days seem easier:) And, most importantly, the extraordinary talented @danaivgy , who brought Libby to life. She deserves her nomination for this role wholeheartedly! From April 11-13, 2024, and May 17-18, 2024, I had the pleasure of working as Assistant Director on the intriguing film Silent Witness (@silentwitness_movie ), directed by the talented Elly Kalman (@elly.kalman ). The shoot was challenging but also brought a lot of fun and valuable experience. It reminded me of working on my own film, The Rabble. I was invited to join the project by Nikola Rabovsky (@nikola.rabovsky ), the brilliant DoP and Cameraperson. I also brought in some colleagues from the Sound Specialist Community (@soundspecialists.community ), including Jack Vysotsky (@jackobsound ), Alexander Obrant (@aobrant ), and Philip Klementev (@fill.photographer ), who had already been in talks to join the project. I had the pleasure of working once again with the best Makeup Artist in the world, Anya Volkov (@wolfs_fx ). The film is now complete and will be released soon.
