Earth Day on the Greenway 2026 was a huge success! We’re so grateful to the 200+ incredible volunteers who showed up, got their hands dirty, and gave their time and energy to care for the Wolf River Greenway. They cleared invasive species, giving native plants the space to thrive again. Trash was removed from the shoreline, helping protect water quality and the wildlife that depends on it. Birdhouses were built, creating safe places for birds to nest and raise their young. Trails were cleared, making the Greenway more accessible for everyone who comes out to enjoy it. We work hard and play hard, too! Volunteers capped off their service by paddling on Epping Way Lake, hiking the Greenway, and enjoying delicious bites from SnoJunt and Let’s Be Frank. A huge thank you to Brother, our Wolf River Restoration Series Presenting Sponsor, and TC Energy , our Event Partner, for helping make this special Earth Day celebration possible. Your continued support allows our mission to continue and our community to thrive. As the final event of this year’s Restoration Series, we’re closing strong, but the work continues. If you couldn’t join us, you can still support this effort and help keep the momentum going by donating here: /event-category/wolf-river-restoration-series

Because of our generous community, the North Fork Preserve is now permanently protected within the Wolf River watershed. Located just outside of Moscow, Tennessee, this 188‑acre conservation property includes two 30x30 priority properties and plays a vital role in strengthening the watershed. Protecting land like this helps safeguard wetlands, wildlife habitats, and aquifer recharge for the entire region. This preserve also highlights an important truth about conservation: not all of the most impactful properties lie directly along the Wolf River. Many of the watershed’s highest value lands are found along its tributaries, such as the North Fork, where protecting upstream habitats strengthens the entire system downstream. Progress like this is a direct result of a community that believes in our mission and chooses to invest in conservation. We are grateful for the continued support that makes a lasting impact possible.

We are grateful for Ring Container Technologies’ longstanding partnership and leadership in supporting and believing in our mission. This Saturday's Earth Day celebration brings together the community for a day of volunteer opportunities and family fun, including hands-on restoration activities, food trucks, face painting, and more. It’s a chance for people of all ages to connect with nature and take part in caring for the Wolf River. Thank you to @fedex Cares for showing up for the Wolf River Conservancy with meaningful, hands-on work! Earlier this week, volunteers spent a sunny morning mulching trees, building bat boxes, removing trash, and clearing a trail through the forest. This kind of stewardship reflects a long-term commitment to protecting the river and the surrounding landscape for the community. FedEx has been a cornerstone partner through the NFWF Five Star program since 2010, removing more than 20,000lbs of trash over the last 16 years. We are grateful for their lasting partnership and dedication to community impact through FedEx Cares!
