On Friday 22nd May, @i.am.masquerader will take to the stage at @the_rowbarge_guildford_ , alongside @officialnihilist and @skunkworm . The New Punk Showcase kicks off at 8pm, and with free entry, this is shaping up to be another great @wokingaudio night, connecting fans of new music with the area’s hottest up-and-coming acts. Masquerader are a band of hard contrasts - caustic, dissonant synth leads with an organic, visceral rhythm section; cutting bass riffs over complex, tricky drumwork; mathy rhythmic dissent overclocked with raw post-hardcore urgency. Bringing together disparate influences from experimental hip-hop, noise rock, math rock, post-hardcore and progressive metal, their second EP - Closer to Death - is a tight three-song blitz of live set highlights; Masquerader at their chaotic and eclectic core. Stonnythedonny will be bringing his full backing band to The Fiery Bird for an unforgettable show.
