This is my first Mural since getting my eyesight back, big shout out to Hawai‘i Walls for the opportunity. It’s been amazing vibin’ with the Homies and meeting so many new friends out here. I called this piece Selfie—a reflection of me, my style, and how I move through hip-hop and fashion inside the space of creativity. It’s amazing to paint at my Grandfathers alma mater❤️💯 Much love to my bro Steve Martinez for the background assist, and of course my Homie Matthew Curran for holding it down with the Metafortress stamp stencil work. [ENG BELOW] Een kleine maand na de opening van The Wall is Yours: graffiti & street art takeover presenteren we opnieuw nieuwe kunstenaars die aan de slag gaan in het museum. @fatheat en @woes zetten van 28 april t/m 3 mei hun kunstwerken op de muren van de grote tentoonstellingszaal. Daarbij gebruiken ze popcultuur en comics als inspiratiebron. Kom vooral langs als ze live aan het werk zijn. Wil je nog meer van de kunstenaars weten? Bezoek dan de art talk van 3 mei, dan vertellen ze alles over hun creatieve proces. En dat is nog niet alles: ook de komende maand hebben we weer een bomvol activiteitenprogramma voor je i.s.m. @studiozeepsop . Zo is er morgen punk in het museum met @thefrollicks en @maryscoovy . Meer een hiphopliefhebber? Noteer dan 9 mei in je agenda: van ’s middags tot middernacht zijn er hiphopworkshops, een grote quiz én feest met @skrrtfest . Verder vieren @kuoisdestatus en @restlessmind93 op 30 mei hun album release in het museum en kunnen ook de jongste graffitifans bij ons terecht, bijvoorbeeld tijdens de KIDS Take-Over in de meivakantie (stoepkrijten en stickers plakken in het museum? Het mag!).
