This is not an easy message to write.
After a few intense, meaningful, and defining years, we’ve made the decision to close the physical part of WO CLÉ. It hasn’t been an easy decision—but it’s the right one for where we are now.
In life, you have to take chances. Sometimes that means opening a door. Other times, it means closing one—and accepting everything that comes with it: what you’ve built, what you’ve learned, and where you stand today.
WO CLÉ began as an idea in late summer 2020.
In August 2021, we opened at Aarhus Ø.
In November 2022, we moved to Klostergade.
And in October 2025, we settled into our current space.
What started as a small idea grew into something much bigger than we could ever have imagined.
Around WO CLÉ, a community formed.
A space where people could meet across different worlds, and where creativity, inspiration, and relationships had room to unfold.
We’re deeply grateful to have been part of Aarhus’ cultural scene—not from the sidelines, but right in the middle of it.
Through events, collaborations, conversations, and most importantly, through the people who helped shape the space from day one.
That’s also what makes this decision so difficult.
Because it’s not just about closing a store.
It’s about letting go of a space that so many of you have contributed to—and one we’ve poured so much of ourselves into.
But this is not the end of WO CLÉ.
While the physical store is closing, WO CLÉ will continue online. We take everything we’ve built—our experience, relationships, and direction—with us into what comes next.
First and foremost: thank you.
To everyone who has supported us, shown up, shopped, shared, spent time, joined events, and helped shape WO CLÉ into what it became—we’re truly grateful.
Our final event will take place on Saturday, May 16th.
We’d love for you to come by, have a drink with us, and share one last moment in the space.
