Some of our neighbors don’t have a place to call home. Some are working hard but still can’t afford housing. And all of them deserve dignity, care, and access to basic necessities. 💙 That’s why our officce is proud to support Help for the Homeless from today – March 15, 2026. For 33 years, this incredible hygiene drive has distributed over $6.7 million worth of essential supplies to 137 local crisis programs. In 2025 alone, more than 1,000 businesses, churches, and schools helped collect $720,000+ in supplies across 22 Wisconsin communities. You can make a difference by donating new, unused hygiene and cleaning supplies at the Waterstone Mortgage Fox Valley office, or at participating Festival Foods and Walgreens locations. Most urgent needs include: • Laundry & dish soap, body wash, 2-in-1 shampoo • Trash bags (especially needed in shelters) • Diapers (sizes 3–6 & Pull-Ups) • Unscented deodorant • Wet wipes • Toilet paper & paper towels • Disposable razors • Tampons & maxi pads On Tuesday, March 3 (all day), select Culver’s locations will donate 10% of all sales to The Family Radio Network’s Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive, benefiting 20 Fox Cities crisis programs. 🍔 Participating locations include: • Darboy • Little Chute • Grand Chute • Combined Locks Enjoy a meal, invite your friends, and know that your purchase is helping local individuals and families in need. Every item donated and every meal shared helps stock the shelves of local crisis programs and supports our neighbors right here in the Fox Valley. Applying for a mortgage after March 5? Read this. ⬇️ If you’ve ever applied for a mortgage and immediately started getting flooded with calls from other lenders… you’re not alone. Here’s the good news... Starting March 5, 2026, the federal Homebuyers Privacy Protection Act goes into effect. This means credit bureaus can no longer sell your information to other lenders after a credit check without your permission. This ALSO means no more surprise spam calls just because you applied for a home loan. So what changes for you? Because trigger leads are going away, we’ll primarily be using hard credit pulls upfront instead of starting with soft pulls. Here’s why that matters: ✔️ A hard pull is more detailed and accurate ✔️ You must have a hard pull to close on a home anyway ✔️ It allows us to monitor for new debt before closing ✔️ It helps prevent last-minute surprises If we start with a soft pull, we still have to run a hard pull once you have an accepted offer. With the new law in place, it makes more sense to get the full, accurate picture from the beginning. Our goal is always to protect you, your credit, and your home purchase from start to finish. If you’re thinking about buying this year, let’s build a smart plan together.
