Moody elegance on Orrong Road, Toorak where sculptural lines, rich timber, and dramatic stone meet soft light to create a space that feels both intimate and architectural. Architecture @wlkr_studio Builder @crestcon_buildinggroup Photography @hunting_utopia

ORRONG ROAD, TOORAK Proof that you don’t need more - you just need it done properly. Dark joinery.
Soft light.
Zero excess. Every line considered.
Every material intentional. This isn’t about trends.
It’s about restraint - and knowing when to stop. Because the best spaces don’t try too hard.
They just feel right. — Save this if you’re drawn to this direction.
Or reach out to begin your own project. — Architecture: @wlkr_studio

I didn’t want a boring bathroom. I wanted one with a little tension, a little mood, a little excitement, and this little shot is giving me everything. Brief fulfilled at our new studio. You saw the close-up - now here’s the whole mood. Our breakout space / kitchen area was designed to feel less like a utility zone and more like an extension of the studio itself - warm, tonal, polished and just a little bit indulgent. It’s the kind of space that invites you to slow down for a minute. Make a coffee (FYI we are very emotionally attached to our coffee setup), sink into the sofa, flick through samples, have a relaxed chat, or simply take in all the layered textures and tones that make the room what it is. We wanted this area to feel intimate, elevated and beautifully resolved from every angle - from the rich burgundy joinery and dramatic stone to the soft furnishings and sculptural lighting. It works hard behind the scenes, but still feels calm, considered and a little bit bougie in the best possible way. A space to pause, connect and enjoy the process. 💫 This has been such an exciting journey. Looking back at 12 months renovation with a fast approaching move in date. We gutted the house and put it back together respecting the original architecture and design while adding light filled spaces and functionality. And we are far from being done - exciting joinery, basement garage and pool work is already underway…. Couldn’t be more grateful for the best team, making it all happen with a positive attitude and attention to every detail: Architecture: @wlkr_studio Interior Design: @randco.design.studio Builder: @crestcon_buildinggroup Brands we work with: Natural Stone: @rmstraders Feature Tiles: @perinitiles Floorboards: @madebystorey Paint: @porterspaints @duluxaus Joinery: @joyne.living Window furnishing: @_zenndesign Stove: @lacornue_by_andico Tapware: @designerbathware

Joyne Studio x GlobeWest - a little carousel of the pieces that shape how we actually work in the studio. We think great furniture does two things: 1. It makes a space feel effortless. 2. It quietly supports the way you live (and in our case… design, meet, host, brainstorm, reset, repeat). You’ll spot our cosy breakout corner for coffee + decompression, the conference zone where choices get made, and the front-of-house perch for calls, thinking, and a bit of street-side inspiration. Designing a studio taught us this: when the furniture is right, the whole day runs smoother.

A little studio lap, featuring our Joyne Studio x GlobeWest favourites - but make it a chair try-on haul. ✨ Front door: Chris in the Bonnie (main character energy).✨ Bench moment: Rachel on the Piccolo Barstool.✨ Conference room: Carlo + Lachlan for serious chats and big choices.✨ Back room: Juno Cloud Arc + Leora for the soft landing + coffee rewards. These pieces aren’t just styled - they’re lived in. Daily. And we love them all. Which seat are you stealing? Xx Furniture Curated by @arch_melbourne

This is the Bonnie Occasional Chair in Marigold / Pumpkin Spice Velvet by GlobeWest - stationed by the front door like it owns the place (and honestly… it kind of does). It’s our go-to “thinking chair”: take a call, mull over a detail, problem-solve a tricky corner, and casually people-watch the street outside like you’re in an artsy film montage. That velvet + that colour against the blue showroom? Instant mood lift. A little bold, a little playful, and exactly the point. If your space needs a spark, start here. Conference (or party) room energy, but make it warm. These Carlo + Lachlan Chairs in Burgundy by GlobeWest are what we reach for when we want the room to feel considered (not corporate). They ground the space around our stone table and make long meetings feel… slightly more humane. They’re structured enough for decision-making, comfortable enough for the “quick chat” that becomes an hour, and the burgundy tone plays beautifully with the studio’s layered materials. Basically: the chair you sit in when you’re ready to choose the tile and commit.
Team Carlo? PS - they also also worked a treat for guests to sit, chat and nibble at our amazing grazing table at last year’s studio launch party. Ahhh great memories! Xx Image 1 - @ladminis1 Image 2 - @hunting_utopia Furniture Curated by @arch_melbourne
