We would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to our WHS alumni, Hill Yeah! BBQ, and our other gracious donors for our delicious Teacher Appreciation lunch today!
At the CADA conference earlier this week, our very own Eric Johnson was honored as the Colorado Athletic Directors Association 4A Athletic Director of the Year and we couldn't be more proud! Thank you, Mr. Johnson, for your continued dedication to our programs and student athletes!
Calling all WHS alumni!
We’re coming together to show our appreciation for the incredible teachers who make a lasting impact every day. To celebrate them, we’re organizing a Teacher Appreciation Lunch catered by Hill Yeah BBQ (WHS alumni owned) and we’d love your support!
Your donation will help us provide a delicious meal and a heartfelt thank-you to the educators who have shaped so many lives (including yours!). No contribution is too small—every bit helps us make this event special.
To give back and honor our amazing teachers, please consider making a donation today. Cash and checks (made out to Hill Yeah BBQ) can be dropped off at the WHS front office. Donations can also be made via Venmo (@wbretthill with “WHS Teacher Appreciation” in the message).
Thank you for helping us celebrate the people who helped shape our futures!
Share this post with other WHS alumni to show your Wizard pride. Once a Wizard, always a Wizard!
WHS was once again able to partner with The Arc of Northeast Colorado to present WHS students with the opportunity to celebrate the power of inclusion. Students were challenged to create a short video (a reel) in which they highlighted our theme - The Wizard of Us: In Our Story, We All Belong.
Last week, we held a film festival in our Advisory classes and got to view videos from the 12 finalists. WHS students and staff voted and we were able to celebrate and award prize money to our top three finishers. A huge congratulations goes out to Aaden, Gracyn, and Willow! Be sure to come back to our social media pages this week to view the winning videos!
Attention WHS students - Do you have a story to tell? A voice to share? A message that matters?
Submissions for our short reel competition called “The Wizard of Us: In Our Story, We All Belong.” are due tomorrow! Your challenge was to create a powerful 30–90 second video that champions the inclusion of people with disabilities — because every person deserves to be seen, heard, and valued.
And yes — there’s prize money!
First place: $300
Second place: $200
Third place: $100
All submissions are due March 27th.
Ready to make an impact? Your story could change the way someone sees the world. Submit your video here:

🌟Teacher/Counselor Spotlight x 2! 🌟
January's honoree: Mrs. Douglass
According to her nominator, Mrs. Douglass "...brings a lot of positive energy to our department and to our building. She is always willing to collaborate with team members, and brings fresh and fun ideas to the table, and is always willing to share her good ideas. I appreciate the optimism and cheerfulness she brings to her classroom and to staff members each day!".
February's honoree: Mr. Thompson
According to his nominator, Mr. Thompson "... initiated the partnership with STUCO & Key Club last year to combine our Share the Love and Make-A-Wish Weeks. It has been a wonderful collaboration. I have been able to visit his class and see how his STUCO students are extremely hard working and dedicated. It is obvious that he is helping us to grow amazing young leaders at our school to make an impact at WHS and beyond."
Thanks, again, to the generous sponsorship of Isaiah Salazar, a proud Windsor Wizard alum and agent with C3 Real Estate Solutions, the honoree receives a special gift as a token of appreciation!
Let’s give a huge shoutout to these two incredible Wizards with their positivity and collaboration!
