Hello everyone!
A quick check in for people wondering what’s going on with Wizard Hat 3.0-
We’re working hard to get a bunch of big projects tackled and finished for our space and neck deep in the construction process.
I am hoping to open sometime in the LATE summer or likely fall. I truly can not wait to get back to making what is Wizard Hat pizzas for our local communities and visitors. Looking forward to that first dough in the new space!
Once we have a better target on an opening timeline we will share a lot more details. For now, thanks for your patience and all the support in getting us to where we are now. See you soon!
“All Good Things In All Good Time”.
Greetings Flatbush, PLG, the greater Brooklyn, NYC, Tri State area, Earth, and whoever else this may concern-
The time has come, the time has come, the time has come today!
It is time to formally inform you that we will be finishing our residency at Anything bar with a final day of next Sunday, December 22nd. It has been fun, the pizzas have been singing, but nonetheless, it’s time to move on. Next Friday the 20th we will hang out and play music if you would like to join in on the send off. We have plenty of to go boxes.
I would like to say a big thank you to the immediate community of Flatbush and PLG for always supporting Wizard Hat, myself, and our team in what has been almost 4 years of sourdough, learning, and dedication to the craft of pizza. It has been an honor and a pleasure to be part of the community and get to know so many of you.
Whereas I can not immediately tell you what is next at this point, I can say that I will be focusing all of my energy and attention into getting a proper home for Wizard Hat so it can settle into a space of its own, which I believe is what the project needs and deserves at this point. This is as much a beginning as it is an end. As my father says, you must make hay when the sun shines.
To all of the customers, friends we have made, and people that have passed through-
THANK YOU, FOR A REAL GOOD TIME!!!!!
Best and we will see you down the road,
Josiah
Long live cheese pizza, keep on truckin!
Here is a little snapshot of some nice pizzas we made last week and managed to capture! Take note of the less photographed tomato pie on our menu-
It has always been our vegan friendly option, a riff on the ever classic “Rosso”, Marinara, Tomato, Tomato pie, or as some of you know it, MARNAR! 😂
Ours is done with our tomato blend, Sicilian or Calabrian oregano, fresh garlic, and finished with basil, fried capers, and olive oil.
As we don’t do vegan cheese this is the go to here if you are vegan… however you can add pecorino and Parmesan to this pizza which is absolutely incredible… and the pizza itself is actually quite popular among pizza enthusiasts as it really lets you taste the dough and the tomato which are two of the most integral parts of any pizza. Don’t be late for dinner!
